  1. Ok, that's kind of what I suspected, thanks for the info! Scott
  2. Hi folks, handicap question here, does it reset each 'season'? In other words, do you count scores from the previous year for the handicap calculation? I am by no means a handicap 'expert', in fact I'm not even sure I know the rules, but I was just wondering this. Thanks for any info. Scott
  3. I think I may know the answer to this already but I will throw it out there anyway...I use a stiff shaft Burner driver and also have a 10 year old basic TaylorMade 5 wood with a regular flex graphite shaft and I typically can hit the 5 wood almost as far as my drives (with more control as well). I would say an average drive for me will go about 230-250 yards, and I can hit this 5 wood about 220 pretty consistently and even draw it on purpose once in a while. My question is, should I be hitting a driver with a regular flex shaft? I know the answer to this is to go get my swing measured, but I thought I would ask this in case anyone has experience with switching from stiff shafts to regular ones and can chime in. I am guessing the stiff shaft is a bit much for my swing, hence the long 5 wood shots (if that is considered long). I have a pretty basic swing speed tool (it's a spring loaded plastic thingy) that tells me my swing is about 85-90 mph, which on charts I have seen is right on the line for regular/stiff. Any input is greatly appreciated! Scott
  4. Yeah the spin doctor will definitely tear up the green as well as put 2 or 3 little 'smiles' on any softer ball you hit with it, but it is pretty funny to whip out when playing with those who don't know you have it. And I agree, you CAN actually hear the ball in flight whizzing by with it. You can also chunk the hell out of shots if you are not careful... Scott

  6. I got 'serious' about golf last summer and ditched my baseball grip for a more standard overlap grip and will never go back. I'm still only about a 11-12 hdcp but I now hit much better shots this way, although it was very awkward at first. Scott
  7. Sorry if this is already posted (there are quite a few responses here!) but mine is www.orchardcreek.com Scott
  8. Excellent point... Scott
  9. I switched from Pro-V's to Maxfli Noodles believe it or not, and have had great success with the Noodles. About half the price and I can spin them quite a bit. Scott
