  1. OK, so I just had to try this ugly thing today. I've read some reviews and some of the things on this site. I was just curious what all the hype was about. The Golf Galaxy I go to has a monster putting green. It's huge and even has some nice break built in. I picked up the putter, grabbed a few balls and hit some short puts (3 footers). Made every one, which isn't unusual, but I wasn't even trying. I just wanted to see how it felt. So I grabbed my putter (2 ball) off the rack. Made a few, but missed a few too. I hit a few across the green with the spider (probably 30-40 feet, drained a few and the ones I missed either lipped out or nestled close. It was insane. I guess, long story short, I was impressed. I think I could look past the looks of it. I wonder if I trade in/sell my putters to get one. I already own TM irons and some woods, what's another club?
  2. I too have the 07 fairway wood, it's my favorite club. I've had a couple buddies use it and end up buying one too. Even the stock shaft that comes on it is decent (or at least it was 2 years ago, not sure what it comes with now). Also recommend the hybrid, hit amazing shots with it all the time. From the rough, fairway and tee box.
  3. I will post my vote for this. It has saved me over $200 this season. It has everything I need and I love how it folds up nice and small to fit in my trunk. The reviews say it's hard to unfold and fold, but once you do it a few times, it takes seconds. I look at 10-20 of these and decided on this one because of the reviews, the fact that a few other people bought one while I was in the store, and it had much better fit and finish than the other carts on the market. [/QUOTE]
  4. I spent a few hours hitting many clubs last night, ended up getting a set for under $400. They felt the best to me and all the reviews are positive.
  5. 1) Yes. 2) I had been using the 07 for over two years and it was getting pretty beat up. Plus, my dad wanted to try it out, so I gave it to him and bought a new one. UPDATE: After several hours on the range and a few more rounds ... things are getting better. I adjusted my swing a bit to compensate for the length of the shaft. I'm going to give it a few more rounds before I decide to either switch shafts, cut down the TM or buy a new shaft.
  6. All good points, thanks guys.
  7. When fitted for the Pro Launch shaft 2 years ago, I was told it's high launch angle was perfect for my swing combined with the higher loft of the driver. Also, thanks for all the quick replies.
  8. That makes sense too. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the reply. And yes, the grip is the same. I had them put that one at the store. I was thinking of switching the Graffaloy shaft to the new Burner head.
  10. I recently purchased a new driver (TM Burner 09, 10.5 loft, standard factory shaft) and I'm wondering what to do next after playing 4-5 rounds with it and having seen my stats drop. I've easily dropped 50% in my fairway stats. I have been hitting the old driver (TM Burner 07, 10.5 loft, Graffaloy Pro Launch Blue) in the fairway consistently with a slight draw for the past two seasons. The only difference in the two clubs is the shaft. The sales staff told me the new one is an inch longer and I took that into consideration with my stance, but I'm just not hitting it the same as my old driver. Maybe I'm answering my own questions here, but I'm looking for some thought. Should I continue to use the old Burner and sell/trade the new one? Or get a new or switch the shaft on the new Burner? When I connect with the new one I do seem to hit it a tad farther, but that's probably the extra length of the shaft. I'd rather be straight and short. Sorry for the long first post, and thanks in advance.
  11. I see that a lot too. We walk a lot, and I hate when a friend of mine brings his push cart with him on every shot. He spends 20 min. a round back tracking with his cart.
