  1. I guess my thought was this process would involve stripping the original finish off and putting a new one on the raw material. I think it’s been decided my idea of how I want it to look will be amazing and i love it. It now comes down to if someone can do this, what the cost will be and I’d like to hear input for those who have black irons, on how well they’ve stood the test of time
  2. YES! YES! YES! SO MUCH YES!!! Oh my god that is so beautiful. Thank you!!! Now I just need to know if it’s worth the money to do and if it will last over time. THANK YOU 😍😍
  3. Dabbling in the possibility of having my irons refinished in black. I have a set of Nike VR Split Cavity irons that I am thinking of having refinished in black. Couple questions with this… who are your recommendations to have this done, for those who have gone from a “chrome” or standard finish to black how does it hold up over time? My thoughts with the clubs (see attached picture) is to go black finish, the Nike swoosh/r logo I am thinking red with the Nike swoosh and the “r” at the end in white, the red line in the middle having done white, and the black swoosh in red. Looking for thoughts, would love to see a proof of this beforehand too but most importantly I want to know who you recommend to have something like this done and how well it has held up over moderate use. Thanks All!
  4. I have a set of Nike VR split cavity irons that I got brand new back in 2008 when they first came out. I absolutely love them to death and refuse to buy anything else. I am a stickler for clean clubs and would clean them in a bucket of water regularly (unbeknownst to me at the time) having them in a bucket of water above the hozel was not good for them and now where the hozel meets the shaft is quite rusted and my clubs are breaking. I would like to take a stab at re shafting them myself before taking them somewhere to have them professionally done (probably much more of a pain for someone like me to do it than a professional, I know, but I want to make an honest attempt at it myself first.) For those of you who have done it before... outside of the shafts and centering beads what else am I looking at to need to get this job done? I can think of epoxy, new grips and tape, a bench to work on, vise, heat gun ect. but I am sure I am missing some key details. I do not have a loft and lie machine, swing weight machine or anything you would find on a tour truck so maybe this is just not doable for someone trying to do it in their garage or basement but I would like to make an attempt at it if it is not going to screw up the clubs that I love Thanks In Advance!
  5. Although true but I’ll have a heck of a time going through a divorce when my wife leaves me after destroying the yard lol
  6. For Christmas this year I got a hitting net it is very nice and I will get a lot of good use out of it. I do, however, need a mat to hit off of or else I will destroy my front yard. The first time I used it I had a mat that came with my chippo game but that only lasted about 10 or less full shots until it got a hole in it. Does anyone recommend any mats they have used for their simulators or nets that have stood the test of time? I tried looking at Dicks but everything there has horrible reviews and I’d rather spend extra money to get something that will hold up
  7. I am looking to get some new sunglasses for on the course as well as other outdoor activities. I have always had Oakley Flak Jakets and loved them because of how well they stay on my face and how they looked. I have heard really good things about Costa Del Mar sunglasses and would like to give them a try. Just wondering if anyone has them and how they like them especially on the course, what style you have, lenses ect. I am not dead set on Costa but very much leaning towards them. With what is going on now I can’t go to a store to see the styles in person to know what I like and lense options but at the moment am just looking for suggestions. Thanks!!
  8. Goals for 2020: 1.) Break 70 at least once and be consistently below 75 in scoring 2.) be able to hit the low spinning “one hop and stop” chip shot How to accomplish: 1.) practice with purpose... dedicate actual time to specific areas of my game that need improvement (ie. distance control and driver accuracy) pick targets and stick to them. Don’t settle for missing targets and chalking it up to “just a bad shot” figure out what you did wrong and work to correct it 2.) not sure how to go about this one not many good short game practice areas around me with large greens but set up targets and towels for landing areas and make sure balls don’t roll out further than the allotted distance from the landing zone not only will this lead to closer birdie putts and lower scores but more confidence to stick them close around the green
