  1. That is a lot of golf. Even if I had the time I'm not at a point where I "need" to play 36 holes in a day. I'm focusing on the second part of your response. I'm trying to get my wife to play so "we'll have something to do together when we get older." It probably won't happen since she thinks it is nuts to walk around on a well manicured lawn in 80 degree temps for 4-5 hours while swinging sticks at a small ball.
  2. Wow!! You must have a golf related job or job where it is important to play. There is no way a married guy outside the industry gets to play that much golf. Are you in the industry? Does your wife play? Anyway, I don't have a formal contract but I always "ask" before I play and usually try to plan a week in advance. Unfortunately, I also play alone or get paired with strangers often since I wake up at the crack of dawn to play and get back in to spend time with the family. Most of my friends and golf buddies don't enjoy the game enough to tee off at 6:30 AM or 7 AM and wake up at an approriate time to make that happen.
  3. Bomb and gouge...bomb and gouge. I barely hit my PW (10 iron) 110 yards. Seriously, if you in fact hit your clubs that far, including a "junk" driver 330 yards then go see an instructor and get the swing fixed. BTW, do you actually know your distances? In the other thread about iron distance "How far do you hit your irons" you mentioned that you hit your PW 150 yards..still way long but much different than 175.
  4. I'm heading out on 10/25. I'm pumped to leave cold and dreary NJ behind. Unfortunately, this trip could be my last 4 decent rounds of golf for many months. Oh BTW, I'm playing Masters as well or at least a hole or two. World Tour is on the docket.
  5. I just used the UA Cold Gear shirt last week during a round in south/central NJ. I teed off at 7:10 AM on Sunday with 40-50 degree temps. The shirt was sweet!! I wore it under my UA golf shirt (coincidence) and shorts. The shirt didn't restrict my movement at all and was extremely comfortable and warm. IIRC, the temps rose to 50-60 during the last few holes of the round and I did find myself pulling up the sleeves to give my forearms more cool air. One downside, I happen to wear the only synthetic material golf shirt I own over the cold gear and had a heck of a time keeping my shirt tucked into my shorts. I assume that since both shirts had some combination of spandex/nylon/cotton/poly? there was no friction to keep the golf shirt tucked. Anyway, I love the shirt and will probably buy one more. Since I HATE wearing jackets during golf, I'm guessing I can wear the cold gear under a golf shirt into 30 degree temps. There are probably cheaper alternatives but since this worked for me I will not experiment.
