  1. I don't see it on there. How do I get the extra 35%? They are just online I believe. Google it! Ron
  2. How do you guys know when they have trade-in bonuses? Ron
  3. I bought mine for the functionality, but mainly for the looks. I got the 'juice' version. No, I have the 2010 model. I did not say it had issues, I just said that it does not open as easily as the hoofers I have owned in the past.
  4. I have a Grom. I agree with setting up the clubs as described above. I honestly don't love the bag, but I do like it quite a bit. I would be unhappy with it if I walked more. It is a bit heavy, and the stand does not flip out as easily as my hoofers used to. It does, however, have a nice array of pockets and a insulated bottle pocket. I would probably buy another one. Ron
  5. I changed from a 905T to a G15 this season. It has made a huge difference in my FIRs. The sweet spot on the 905T felt like it was the size of a gnat's @ss. The G15 is very forgiving when hit off-center. Ron
  6. Dicks has these for $59.99 for two dozen, and I have a $10 off coupon. The have the same deal on either Tour or Tour D models. Is this a good ball for that price? ($50 for two dozen) I think they are, but I was wondering if anyone has played them and can compare them to the V1, or V1x. Thank you, Ron
  7. My Grom came in yesterday, and I AM HAPPY! Ron
  8. After looking around at the golf stores, I finally found a replacement bag. It fits your description to a 'tee', except for the full length dividers for the irons. It is a Ogio Grom, juice. http://www.ogio.com/product.php?product=170 It is described as a hybrid bag. It is bigger and roomier than most stand bags, but still fairly light and has a stand. I am unable to walk most of the time, but I have seen too many people drop their bags into their cars for me to not have a stand, beside the convenience of the stand at the driving range. I don't expect to receive it until the end of the week, and I can't wait. I am replacing an original Ping Hoofer from YEARS ago!!! I had to order online because I had a big gift certificate to use that I could only use online. Ron
  9. Does it have his cell phone number on it?
  10. If you have a pocketpc or similar phone with GPS, I suggest this: http://www.freecaddie.com/ It is free or very cheap. No yearly fees or any of that BS. You can quickly and easily create ANY course easily using google maps thru that site. I created most of them in my area. I have used it for a couple of years, and the ONLY downfall is the battery on most phones won't last much more than a round of golf. Ron
  11. I love the Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound grip, but just can't justify the cost for doing my whole set. My pro-shop charged me $13 to install one on a club last year. I found a set of Tacki Mac grips on ebay for $55. This price included 13 grips (red/black), and a grip install kit, with tape, solvent and instructions. I replaced 12 of mine yesterday in about an hour and a half. It would have been much quicker except for the old tape on my wedges was REALLY hard to get off. I have a club with a new red/black Golf Pride, and I like the aesthetics of the Tacki Macs better, looking at them side by side. I'll be glad to post pics if anyone wants me to. The difference in quality and feel between the two is not measurable as new. Once I play a few rounds with the Tacki Macs, I can give a better review. Ron
  12. This may sound strange if you've never thought about it............. I like a shallow mallet, BUT.......after finding one that is pleasing to the eye, weighted right, and feels good, IT MUST NOT TWIST WHEN DROPPED ON THE LINE BEHIND THE BALL! In other words, I will line up a putt, address the ball and then loosen my grip so much that my putter head falls to the ground. I still have the grip in my hands, but very loosely. From this point I retake my grip at the point where the putter will be just above the surface of the green when I swing. If when I initially 'drop' the putter the head twists, I am completely out of my routine. It amazes me how many putters (and even woods) will do this. Try it next time you are at the pro shop! Ron
  13. Also I don't see the serial number. It should be there near the loft.....
