  1. So..is there anything else you don't like about Bridgestone?
  2. First of all, she's doing something that seems to be working better for her than before. Where does it say, that there is only one way to putt effectively? Take a look at video of Jack "N" putting style. He crouched! I doubt that any PGA teacher would teach that style, but I guess he did o.k. with it. What about Furyk? Would his swing be recommended? No, because too many PGA teachers teach just one way regardless of what skills or needs their students require. Michelle Wie has had all of the putting "gurus" trying to improve her putting.None of that or them has worked, so what is wrong with what she's doing as long as she is comfortable with it?
  3. I've been wearing two gloves since the 1960's. I tend to rub an area a little raw on my right index finger. Everybody says it's because my grip in wrong. Yea, right, I'm 75 years old, and I'm a 12 handicap. All I know, is that this works for me
  4. There is a lot of information here concerning preferences for certain brand (s) of golf balls. That's all well and good, But I would say that 75% of the week-end golfers hitting Pro V's shouldn't be hitting that ball because they don't have the swing speed necessary for that ball to perform as it is capable of. That said, the kind of ball you hit, also depends on the loft of your Driver. Nowhere do I see that mentioned as a consideration in ball selection. There is no such thing as a "one ball fits all." I switched from the E6 which I was happy with, to the B330RX and added about 20-25yds to my drives. . Picking a ball l has to do with matching the ball to the golfer, and there are a lot of things that have to be taken into consideration
  5. I am very open when I putt with this stance, and I play the ball just inside my back foot. One other thing I do that maybe others don't do. I stand away from the ball so that my arms are actually extended. I find that this gives me better judgement on the distance/speed, and prevents the putter head from going out of line. .
  6. I use the type of stance all the time, and have for about two years. My direction and speed judgement on putts has improved dramatically. You don't get points for style...look at Jim Furyk, or Allan Doyle of the Champions Tour.
  7. I have both the 42 and 56 degree Niblicks. I've had the 42 a little longer than the 56 so I have more experience with that club. I hit it with full swing 90-105 yds. I can shorten the distance just by opening my stance a little and keeping my feet close together. Both clubs are very accurate but I have not been able to master hitting the 56 out of the sand. Either club is great around the green, it just depends on what kind of shot you have to make. The sales people at Golf Galaxy and Golfsmith insist on calling these clubs "Chippers' which they are not at all. Cleveland shows them on their web site as wedges, and I believe that is how they should be portrayed. Chippers are basically one dimensional clubs, and these Niblicks can be used for a variety of shots. These clubs are easy to learn how to use, and some people have said the 56 is easy out of the sand. But I haven't found that to be the case. Bottom line, I like them, and will contine to use them.
