  2. Still Loving the Callaways and not regretting selling the G10s one iota!
  3. Once I got to Cbus, the drinking and BBQ started... Long stor short, a sickening feeling kept me off the course that weekend, but I'll be heading back soon. GO BG!!
  4. Yea, Me to! Glad to see you are right up the road. We'll can definately hit the links sometime.
  5. I'm likely going to be spending a long weekend in Cbus this weekend and I do not know anyone there that plays. So, I'm reaching out to my fellow Sand Trappers to show me the ropes. If anyone in Cbus has plans on playing this weekend and wouldn't mind an extra, shoot me a PM and I'll send you my #. Thanks in advance!
  6. Ive had the Razr X Forged for about a week now. Before I ordered them, I wasn't competely sure if I would have success playing them, but I can tell you, after I demoed them, I loved them! I can honestly say I'm hitting these much more consistently than my G10s, likely because I had to fight the urge to sweep the ball with the Gs. The Razrs are a great set though.
  7. So, I began this season with the idea i was going to work with the equipment I had and not purchase anything this year. I walked into my local pro shop and saw a G15 3w for $160 and thought "Right now my set goes from driver to 3h, I need to fill that gap", spoke with the pro and he gave me the 3w for $100. Shortly after that I began to look for new irons as I knew my swing was getting better and I grew tired of the G10s, so I began my search and bounced around from one set to the next, just trying a few out. I eventually stumbled upon the Callaway Razr X Forged, and they now rest in my bag. Now, who am I to have the gual to place brand new irons in a 15 yr old bag? Well, my Ogio Vapor stand bag is on the way, lol. Now, why stop now? I'm looking for a heavier shaft to put in my G10 3w and G10 Driver, this is the reason for the thread. As of now, its the stock stiff that comes with it and frankly it feels way too whippy. I love my ust proforce v2 76g thats in my 905r driver and I'm thinking about putting that in my G10 Driver. Anybody have experience with this set up? Regarding the 3w, I have no idea what to put in it. I know I want at least 76g, stiff, that has a low kick point so the ball gets up and lands soft. Do you folks have any recommendations for good shafts in the 3w? On a side note, how much would you take if you where selling your G10 5-PW? I have been searching ebay to see the market prices, but I really dont see much movement in these clubs nowadays.
  8. Took my new clubs out for a spin for the first time yesterday on a pretty tough course and came within a few strokes of my PR. Shot an 86, but still had a "snowman" on the card!! These things feel awesome though and I'm extremely happy with the upgrade!
  9. My clubs came today!!! I went and played a par 3 course and I was actually spinning the ball back!! I didnt know I could do that, tackling a new "real" course in the a.m.
  10. Wishing I would have paid the extra $25 for 2 day shipping
  11. I ended up going with a PX Flighted 5.5 hoping it would help launch my longer irons as advertised. We'll see.
  12. Just took the leap!!! The Razr X Forged is on the way!!!
  13. Holy Crap!!! Just came from a demo day where I got fitted for the Razr X Forged and actually hit it outside. I've never hit a 6i so far in my life. My swing speed was 85mph and best carry was 183 yds. Turns out that my length was standard as well as my lie. I had the chance to hit a few different shafts and I hit the KBS stiff the best. I generally struck the center of the club face, my mishits were few and were thin when I did, which is typical for me because I sometimes lift out of the shot (mental issue). I'm thinking I'm going to look on line and see if I can find a used set for a good price that fits my specs and try them out for a while.
  14. This just a smooth, relaxed swing tempo for me..... I don't feel like its necessarily that slow... man, i feel like a lady man now :(
  15. Yes, it was a PX 6.0. I just searched Callaway demo days and it looks like they are having one right around the corner from my house tomorrow!! Rest assured, I will be there to hit those clubs tomorrow!
