  1. I play Mizuno's now and I will never buy another set of clubs that are not blades. That is just not going to happen. Using blades makes you improve your game and if you are a 10 handicap and want to be better, then you need to at least try them or some form of them. I saw someone else say trying oversized. Don't! That is my opinion, but I used them for years and now that I am back to blades I appreciate them even more.
  2. I am going to put a new shaft in my 905T, but I cannot find anywhere what the dimension for the butt should be. Should it be .335 or .350. Thanks
  3. I know the feeling. The blades will not kill you. I love mine and not playing that much, I still hit them like a champ. I was around a 4 handicap in high school and a couple of years ago when I was 25, I set out for a new set. I ended up with the Mizuno MP-32 2 degrees upright and with the Project X 6.5. They are like playing with a hot knife through butter. I had to do the same thing. I had Ping ISI-K Blue Dot pings and I could not hit them for nothing.
  4. Thanks Cody! That is kind of what I have read in all of my looking. I will probably look into a X then.
  5. That is what I am looking into. I just have to find a new place to go and get fitted. I got fitted for my irons about 2 years ago and love them. I just cannot stand the people that work at the store. They are salesmen and not golfers. I want them to help me and not try to make me buy what will give them the best commission. They just have that arrogance that says I am pulling something over on you. The current driver that I am playing with is a Titleist 905T with an Aldila NV 75-X. To answer shades, I probably need to spend more time on my short game. Most of the time that I am on the golf course I do work on it. I just do not play enough anymore to get good at it again. I used to be around a 4 handicap and the only reason I am a 10 now is errant drives and my short game. my putting is still pretty good, but that is about it. My 100 yards and in game is not that good. To answer Cody, I consistantly hit the ball that far. The only reason for the range is depending on the course conditions. I am consistantly a 300 yard driver. The course that I play at most of the time, I only use my driver on the par 5's because it is short and that might be part of my problem. Not enough use.
  6. That is my biggest dilemma right now. I have a lazy habit of hooking the ball. I just want to be able to keep the ball as straight as possible off of the tee. I wanted to change the shaft in my driver and the people at the golf store that I went to told me that it was not even worth the money to change the one in my current driver. I will even take suggestions on what to get. I have been leaning towards the new FT-Tour by Callaway. I just cannot decide whether or not I want the Stiff or the X-Stiff in it.
  7. I am looking at getting a new driver. I am just uncertain about the flex of the shaft that I need to be getting. I carry the ball around 280-300 with a driver that was new 5-8 years ago. Any advice? Ask me any questions you have and I will answer to the best of my ability. Thanks!
  8. Last time I played, it was a 39 on 9 holes.
  9. Not this week, but I do have to tell this one. About 2 weeks after I got my new irons, I had only been hitting them on the range to try and get used to them and then I decided to play. Anyhow, I hit my PW 6 inches from 140 on a par 3 on my first round with them. I was excited.
  10. I am a Traffic Engineer for the Department of Transportation.
