  1. When your irons need new grips, do you just simply go out and buy 9 grips ? or do you need to get a measurement ? I have Mizuno worn out grips and need to replace them. I do have a Lamkin Crossline on my Driver and like it very much, but Irons ??
  2. I thought they looked poor quality pictures, the camera is pretty dated to whats on offer these days, I really need to upgrade. I see Mickleson is playing well in the Scottish Open, he must have a good chance for the Claret Jug this week.

  4. My Callaway BB 3w has a uniflex steel shaft, and last night I tried a Ping G5 3w with a Aldila Reg shaft ( that green one ). And my word, the Ping is a weapon of mass destruction !! I was hitting 10 balls with the BB and 10 with the G5, the BB was slicing all over the place, the Ping was rocketing like an exorcet missile straight down the middle !! ( tried not to hit Tiger Woods' Lexus MPV in the process ) Is this down to the shaft ?
  5. Yes, its a council owned course so it is public land, you couldnt do it on a private club course, St Andrews is also public. The security will get tighter next week with the lead up to the first day.
  6. I had a walk across the course last night, 1 week before the UK Open...have a sneak preview.... http://s176.photobucket.com/albums/w...¤t=ebay051.jpg
  7. I cant thank the man enough, he really put some time and effort into that and he didnt have to, it just shows you that there are good people out there. I will try to fit all these fixes into my swing at some point, I will start with my hands forward and try to keep my right leg still. All the best from Carnoustie, lets hope Tiger takes part in the British Open right here in my town.
  8. Yes, I tend to slice and pull, more so with Woods.
  9. Greetings from Carnoustie, the place is hotting up in the build up to the Open, I cant wait to smell them burgers !! Anyway, I'm having terrible trouble hitting the ball at the moment, and was wondering if any of you guys can point out any flaws in my swing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ-VYA2Qxx8 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yS3CREIviWs Help is Appreciated.
  10. Thanks, thats sound advice, I think I will go for a lesson first.
  11. I'm currently using a Mizuno MP-001 10.5 degree driver but I'm slicing terrible, its just a big arc out towards the right - thinking of changing to a different driver with a different shaft - will this help or do I need to sort my swing out first ? Do I need to learn to hit this driver correctly before I move onto another driver/shaft ? I play off 24 so I aint the best golfer, but I have a good swing, I just find it hard to score and out of bounds 3, 5 and 7 off the tee isnt helping me at the moment.I dont tend to slice my irons.
  12. I have a Callaway 3 wood and Progen FB 5 wood, and a Taylor made Rescue hybrid all with steel shafts I recently tested out a Ping 3 wood with a Grafalloy blue graphite shaft, felt so much better for some reason....are graphite better than steel on fairways ? and do I need to bin all of the above and get a 4 wood maybe ?
  13. My playing partner insists I have an "out to in swing" and I need to correct it, by trying to swing more inside the line. I do slice almost everything. Anyone got any good drills to stop me coming over the top ?
  14. Shortgame that is the best advice I could probably ever hear, I too think the reason I struggle with the club is because of my execution. I have been told my swing is very nice, but its just the finer points that need tweaking, like maybe turning the hands over or squaring the clubface up. I will refrain from making any further purchases and try to learn with what I've got.
