Its the new Lamkin standard performance plus gen3. I wouldn't suggest the white though, they become very dirty very quickly. I have them on my driver and wedges and already they are filthy. The AP2's are great clubs, but the R9 TP's are very similar with a wider head. I was torn between the two until I noticed how much more hitting space there was on the TP's. I just ordered them today and I am selling my Ping G10's (which I got when i was a 30 index ((1 year ago). Now that I am an 8.5, I need a Cav-Back blade and I am going to get all the distance of a a blade with the forgiveness of a Ping in the R9 TP's. To be honest, unless your a Titleist pro, I don't see why anyone would choose the AP2's. It's a forged club with a plastic insert (?), and is so small that if you don't hit it perfectly its not going to be anywhere near the green. The only other clubs I could suggest besides the TP's are maybe some Mizuno's. But the technology in the TP's is so superior to that of the Mizuno's. Also the TP's are technically not "forged", so all the more forgiveness. It's all up to you man, but at 8-10 handicaps, we can't sacrifice all forgiveness.

I just bought 9.5 Stiff Supertri yesterday morning and played with it that afternoon. Shot 79 and missed 2 fairways, one of which I hit through! What an amazing driver, I plan on buying the R9 TP irons as well. One question about those for anyone who has tried both, how would you compare the R9 and R9 TP's? Forgiveness? Feel? Distance? Leaning toward the TP's. I'm single digit and could use some advisory please... It would be appreciated. Also I'm new to this, how do I upload the clubs I play to my profile like everyone has underneath their name when they write a post?

I couldnt agree more about the finishes. Im lefty as well and the black finish has a lot to do with these replacing my vokeys. Im big on the look of a club at address and there's just something about a good looking black wedge that gives me more confidence before I hit each shot.
