  1. Well, I am new to golf (a month or so in). I have played 4 games and been to the driving range about 15 times and been with an instructor twice. The instructor helped a ton. So has this thread! Using this on top of what the instructor helped me with. I have added a lot of power to my swing with the same amount of effort. I am still getting the same pattern of drift with the ball but getting more consistently strait. Thanks for the great thread. I plan on continuing to monitor it.
  2. Thanks a ton for all the replies. You guys are being awesome. I went out again yesterday for another nine holes. I deffinetly need to work on my irons the most. Then drives and putts. There is a 18 hole par 3 course near me that is only $6. I think if it's not too busy that would be awsome short game practice, then hit the range for driving.
  3. Cool! Good luck to you two as well. Have fun!
  4. Thanks for the replies and having Patience answering a repeated question. Ha ha, I don't see a tour in my future... Thanks for the bit of info about the "limited flight" balls, didn't know that. When I went yesterday I was with a few guys from work who were pretty good and I did feel a bit rushed. Felt like I was holding them up. I think I would have done better going to the range yesterday.
  5. Well, I went out for my third time yesterday. Did horribly, but that's kind of expected. A guy told me that it would be better practice for me to keep hitting the driving range, than it would be to hit the course. What do you all think? Is the range better practice for a newb than a game? For the three times I have been played, I have been to the range about 10 times. Hope I am not beating a dead horse here.
  6. I just don't get the point of cheating. Why play if you are going to? You are cheating yourself. Glad someone did something though.
  7. Hello, another new guy here. Been golfing twice and picked up some clubs for me and the wife over the weekend. Hope to have lots of fun. Looking forward to contributing.
  8. Well, the last time I golfed was the second time that I ever golfed and shot a 47 on nine holes for 11 over! I was having a REALLY good day. The first time I went out I shot a 68.
  9. Well, the other day was my second time ever golfing and chiped up onto the fringe about 10' from the hole and putted in for a par! It was my first par.
  10. Currently a Millwright. Thinking of going back to school for criminal justice.
