  1. No problem, I'm pretty new to trying to teach other people. I could have explained myself more thoroughly to begin with. Golf is becoming an increasingly athletic sport and that fact cannot be avoided. Good luck.
  2. My point exactly. Try giving it some thought and work on it a bit at the range. I hit the ball a lot more powerful and controlled after I did.
  3. Why ask for input if your just going to argue? Those happen to be two great pga tour players, like it or not. The fact is your reverse pivoting and moving your head... and a good way to solve that is to not lock your right knee and turn your butt to the outside. Look into what I'm trying to tell you or don't bother replying. I had the same exact problem last year and can personally assure you that fixing it has helped my game a lot.
  4. You may be right for your style of swing. It was just a suggestion that's helped me. Just thought I'd throw it out there. You see a lot of modern day golfers (i.e. Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas) do this very well. You don't necessarily have to shift any weight doing this it's just that straightening your right leg might cause a lot of movement that can mess with you. I know it sounds funny but it's what I've been told. Although this is a very poor shot it shows Villegas doing this really well. It shows a swing vision about halfway through. He does have a lot of sway, however, so I prefer watching the second video. This is a second video of Anthony Kim. These are two very athletic golfers with very modern day golf swings. Other examples include Adam Scott and Tiger. Try comparing them to your swing and see what you think. It's up you you to make the change or not. Hope this helps in any way.
  5. A second thing it may do is help have your weight on your right foot on your back swing. If you get in your stance, practice your back swing, and straighten your right leg and compare it to not straightening it, you should notice a difference in the pressure on that right foot.
  6. Your right leg seems to completely straighten on your back swing. You can do that... but the modern day golf swing keeps that right leg slightly bent. It keeps you from doing various things such as causing your hips to slide too much. I had this problem too. It may be something to try out the next time you go to the range. It's helped me quite a bit.
  7. You may want to try being a little closer to the ball. Your hands are pretty far away from your body at setup.
  8. You could also get a little creative. If you have a fence in the backyard you could just hang an old carpet or something on it and hit into that. Although, you won't be able to clearly see what your hitting exactly... whether it be a hook, slice, etc.
  9. Congratulations, I think that's something to be very proud about. I can only hope to shoot a similar score sometime in the near future.
  10. My goals are to maintain myself better mentally, continue studying and gaining experience, improve my course management, and hopefully shoot a few decent rounds this year to boost my confidence.
