  1. Thanks for the inofo and I apologize if I hijacked this thread! I just realized I may have and didn't mean to!
  2. I'm trying to decide if i want to drop my 4 hybrid for a 20* G15 hybrid or go with the 23* G15. I have the 27* G15 and absolutely love it, which is why Im trading out my old hybrids. Just dont know if I want to go with another 4H or drop down to a 3H since Im not exactly stellar in hitting my 3-wood.
  3. Will shaft stiffness or torque affect a slice or hook? Or does the stiffness only affect distance or something else? Thanks!
  4. My wife started golfing about 6 months ago. She got the addiction hard and decided to buy a nice set of clubs she could use for many years instead of starting off with a cheap set. Anyway, she got a set of the Taylormade Burners, which included a hybrid 4 and 5. She also bought the burner driver and 3-wood. She plays very well with them and is nothing but pleased with the Burners!
  5. I actually played my first round with the Zing 2's today and the distance was actually pretty good. I guess the range didn't give me a really true perspective. I really love these clubs!
  6. You guys bring up a great point the more I think about it. Accuracy is probably more important than distance. Thanks for the help!
  7. I understand, I really do like the accuracy the Zings bring; just curious as to why they are shorter in distance.
  8. I have been golfing for about a year. I recently purchased a set of Ping Zing 2's to go with my 08 Big Berthas. The Pings are more accurate for me, but the distance is a bit less. I did a bunch of research and I could hardly find anyone with anything bacd to say about an older set of Pings. They seem to make great clubs that last forever if taken care of. I don't know alot about your specific model, but with the Ping name they can't be too bad.
  9. They definitely are more accurate; I was just trying to get a little distance back if it was possible. I wasnt sure if tweeking the clubs (new shafts) would help a bit.
  10. My swing speed is slow; probably around 80...think regular flex shafts would help? If so, I assume its ok to reshaft an older club like the Zings?
  11. Gotcha. I kinda thought that was the case, but I thought the shafts may have been a factor as well. Thanks for the info!
  12. I recently purchased a set of Ping Zing 2's in great condition. I can hit the ball straighter with them, compared to my 08 Big Berthas, but the ball doesn't go nearly as far. Question is... 1. Is it the difference in loft on the clubs? 2. Difference in shafts? The Zings have the Steel JZ stiff shafts while the BB's have the steel regular flex shafts. If this is the case, can you or would you re-shaft the Zings? 3. Simply new vs. older technology? Thanks in advance for the help!
  13. Send back the new one and buy the demo!
  14. I wonder what the Rapture line will drop to price-wise??
  15. hahaha I try to convince myself, and my wife, it's the club. We both know that's not the case, but It's hard to blame my score on my horrible swing. It's much easier to blame it on the clubs!
  16. I just bought a set of Ping ZING-2's. They are in great shape and play well. Only difference I notice is the newer irons seem to hit a little further. I assume because of the degrees or material on newer club faces. Either way, I guess you could say newer irons perhaps fly the ball a little further?

  18. WOW, that sounds like a GREAT deal!
  19. Thats what I like to hear. Sounds like they are a quality club!
  20. I ended up getting the SKB bag. It just seemed the most secure for the precious cargo! Thanks again for all the help!
  21. Thanks again for all the info!
  22. Will do...they should be here next week!
  23. Thanks for all the info...anyone use the hybrid type that doubles as a hard case and an actual golf bag when you remove the hard top?
  24. We are traveling southwest; they say golf bags fall under their bags-fly-free program. I just wondered what most suggested. I was also wondering about the hybrid type bag?
  25. Wife and I are flying to Idaho for some golf. I have never flown with my clubs before. Any recommendation for a travel bag? Hard-sided, soft-sided, any particular brand, etc? Thanks! John
