I know how you feel. A while back my goal was to break into the 30's on 9 holes. Shot 40 & 41 just one bad hole away from my goal. Then finally boom Just had to bogey the last hole, ended up with a Par and shot a 38. It was awesome. But I have only been back to the magic 30's once this year. 39. Now I'm currently taking some lessons cause my next goal is to break into the 70's on 18. Changed my swing and grip still getting used to the new style. But I'm having some good flashes of greatness on the course. It's there, but I still have some work to do. I do suggest some lessons, if you want to get better lessons are the best money you can spend on golf.

Finally found my way back in the 30's... barely, shot a 39 on a par 36 course.

I know this "technically" is my first post, I was told my post almost makes me seem like a representative of this company. I am no way connected to this company it's just one of the many dozens I kind of narrowed down on my own. I am no where near sold on one yet. So if someone else recommends using a different company from past experience let me know. Again trying to keep this not to heavy on the wallet, want to do the installation my self. Around 15X10 Just don't want to break the bank on purchasing the turf, then I don't want to buy the turf to find out I should have gotten a different type turf from some where else. I have found some really great pics and threads of other peoples home putting green and makes me want one even more.

Been lurking around here for a couple days reading and searching about this topic. Thinking about building myself a backyard yard green for putting and some light chipping. I was planning on spending extra and getting a nylon green instead of the Polypropylene, but then I came across this site about the Bent Poly. http://www.artificialturfandputtingg...d=P52001510K2C I really like this "kit" its 15x10 and its the Polypropylene but, "supposedly" its bent fibers give a true roll plus it's a little cheaper than nylon. Supports chipping from around 10 yards. which is plenty as I have a smaller suburban yard. Rolls 9 and up on the Stimp Meter. (Is this fast enough? I suck on fast greens and need practice.) Just wanted to see if anyone wanted to weigh in on this, other DiYers, if they have bought from this company, they offer free shipping anywhere in the US. I thought the price for the kit was pretty reasonable. Open to any thoughts or input, thanks again for the help.

Played a round Monday, with friends shot an 85.

Hole #18 par 5, about 20+ yards out. SW to an elevated green, more of a Lob shot, rolls within 2 inches of the hole for an tap in par.
