  1. So for the money you would say its worth it... at least for the hybrids? Where are you getting the reviews from, their website or somewhere else?
  2. I stumbled upon Pinemeadow Golf today while searching the internet. They have very inexpensive clubs/drivers that they say perform like other big name brands. They are a clone manufacturer of course. I just wanted to know how everyone felt about clone manufacturers and if it is worth the money. It would be pretty sweet to save $800 on a set of irons. www.pinemeadowgolf.com
  3. Nice rounds there.
  4. A little off topic on this one, but where can you find course yardage books? In the Clubhouse?
  5. I am a student. Currently I am studying for my bachelors in accounting, then for my masters in business, and finally a doctorate in divinity. Possibly a psychology degree somewhere in there. I am going to be a pastor some day.
  6. Does it really matter what par it is? The idea is that the person who finished in the least number of strokes wins. It doesn't matter if nobody breaks par, the lowest score still wins. I find it silly when tournament players aren't happy because they changed a par 5 to a par 4 or something. It really doesn't matter, because everyone else is going to have to play it as a par 4 too. The idea is to go out and win, not shoot a -20 after 4 rounds. But anyways, I think Tiger will play well and possibly win. As long as he remains focused, he should play some good golf.
  7. What's a good place to find a golf swing monitor? I don't have access to a country club.
  8. I have only been playing for a few months, but I have been practicing pretty regularly. A friend of mine gave me a beginner set of clubs to play with. I am 19 and pretty agile. My natural swing speed is pretty fast, as is most peoples my age. I am pretty sure my clubs I am using now are regular flex(could possibly be ladies because I know my friend coaches a mens and ladies golf team) and I think this may pose a problem for me. I would commonly slice the ball when using my natural swing. A buddy of mine told me that it was because of my shaft flexing too much and I could fix it if I slowed my swing down. I took his advice and slowed my swing down a whole lot. Now I hit the ball straight and it goes where I want it to. Only problem is that I just don't feel comfortable swinging at that speed... nor does my ball go very far on a drive(about 200yds). My natural swing is no where near my full swing anyways... so the swing I am using right now is like snail speed for me. I was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to a stiff shaft on just my driver. I don't have the money for a full set of shafts. If it is worth it, which shaft should I look at? Should I buy a new or pulled shaft? Also, since I don't plan on keeping my beginner driver for a long time, will I be able to transfer the shaft to a new driver?
  9. Right now I am going to the range 1 or 2 times a week and I hope to be getting in a round at least every 1 or 2 weeks.
  10. I'm a newbie, but before this year is up I am going to shoot in the 80's.
  11. My team is UNC... and I want them to be my pick. Only problem is that they play so hard during the ACC tournament that they go to the NCAA tournament worn out.
  12. I just started playing golf, but my first game(last week) I shot around 100. Had some pars and multiple birdie attempts.
