  1. Day 22 Working on restricting body rotation during back swing, trying to stay more level, found my body lifting up significantly so trying to stay more focused on control/shape
  2. Day 21 Early backswing, still focused on reducing arm bend on lead arm. Brain is getting in the way.
  3. Day 20 Looking at stance ans shaft lean. Slow rotations and checking for over hinging.
  4. Day 19 - Stance/Wrist work, primarily on downswing to ensure better contact
  5. Day 18 - Backswing to mid, working on lead arm and wrist form
  6. Day 17 Reviewing my swing video and working on keeping lead arm straight through backswing, avoiding an over extend.
  7. Day 16 Rotation work and backswing, avoiding extending body/arms to far back, keeping weight more centered
  8. Thanks for feedback Day 2/3 were already in my plan but will include others. I need to arrange a stand to do recordings as at the minute Im enlisting my kids which is challenging to line up my practise times. I do find I lack alot of mobility or rather definited mobility which is something I'll need to work on more alongside my gym routine. Strangely if I do my backswing slow, I can hit each checkpoint with reasonably ok form (not over extending wrist, elbow etc) also manage a reasonably straight lead arm but when I speed up and have an actual target it all falls down.
  9. Apologies this should be better.
  10. Day 15 90min down at the range, still have a hefty slice and alot to work on. Update recordings in my swing thread to review and decide on how to practice in coming weeks.
  11. Quick Share 1 file (99.4 MB) First time ive been able to record or see.my swing Compared to week 1 i consider it a huge improvement but still not looking how i feel it is. Undersrandably alot to work on before im back at the range in 2 weeks. Feel like my 8iron swing is to long and driver to short, need to straighten back a bit more (noticable hunch in top of back), also feel im over rotating back and under rotating forward. Explains my 25-30yard slice
  12. Day 14 Shoulder rotation and finding a different swing length for Driver/Iron. Range tomorrow so video review upcoming to see progress.
  13. Day 13 Full backswing, specifically trying to reduce trail arm pulling behind causing lead arm to bed. Focusing on reducing the hip twist.
  14. Day 12 Continuation following new grip, more control work on part 1 of backswing and seeing more consistency with path going both ways.
  15. Yeah I can see two fully on edge of a third. I'll keep working on it until it becomss second nature. Appreciate all the assistance, understand this is pretty basic but thinking each brick in the wall needs to function if it is to stand a long time.
  16. Day 11 Largely a repeat of yesterday on grip/backswing. Tried some very limited impact exercises, 3 balls about 1.5inch gap trying to make clean contact with center ball. Noticed even at slow and 50% backswing i'm catching toe side ball and heeling centre ball. Adjustments being made and better towards end of exercise but will need more repititon.
  17. Is this more.pike the desired outcome? imgur.com Discover the magic of the internet at Imgur, a community powered entertainment destination. Lift... Feels like my fingers have came over more and my thumb is off-centre (other hands thumb runs along the edge with tip along centre line)
  18. Day 10 Reviewing grip work (my swing thread). Working on backswing to horizontal and looking at back elbow position.
  19. Appreciated the feedback, not sure if this picture(s) better. Hard to flip it from right handed to left handed in my head. imgur.com Discover the magic of the internet at Imgur, a community powered entertainment destination. Lift...
  20. Using imgur as camera images to big imgur.com Discover the magic of the internet at Imgur, a community powered entertainment destination. Lift... When i was at the range at the weekend i found rotating my wrist further around made for a more stable grip. Ive looked to get grip images (for a left handed player) but outside of 2 knuckles visible and a V i cant quite tell which is right. My left hand coming over with an interlocked finger is comfortable, and the club is resting along the base of my fingers not the palm itself. Am i completely off on this?
  21. This is new to me (albeit im new here). Curious about the question re: personal attacks on pros being allowed. Why would you post a personal attack? Ive stated I dislike TW and not had any negative recourse, its not to say i dont think he is/was an amazing golfer. Go check the LIV/PGA topic plenty of debate ongoing not seeing any bans from it. Assuming you have good intent, welcome
  22. Day 9 After some reading and reflecting noticed my range whiff were in part caused by my tendency to straight up during the swing. Practised some rotation to try and correct this but expect this to be a long hard battle against my unconcious mind.
  23. Day 8 Early morning hour at the range. Definite improvement but still consistency issues. Distance saw some improvement (175yd driver) but the star of my show was the 9i 110-120yds 5times in a row near dead centre. Alot to be improved (as always) but focusing less on speed more on shape through the week, find im losing most positives from the backswing on the forward, also found adjusting my grip a bit gave me more flush contact
  24. Day 7 Further backswing work, checking elbow/wrist angles becoming a bit more comfortable. Planning an early morning walk to local range tomorrow so will record and see progress.
  25. Im welsh but live in scotland (wifes scottish). I can handle them in moderation, one lone piper one tune at a time. Unfortunately my daughter who plays violin has spent a few years learning with a chanter and it has been torture. It can also be a nightmare for me when i visit edinburgh or glasgow, or any memorial ceremonies etc I support all attempts to learn a new skill though (away from me) and you've definitely picked a tough one
