Unfortunately the Burner 2.0s have a black finish so I don’t want to risk damaging/removing the finish by scrubbing

Hi all, I am hoping to get back into the game after 7 years absent...kids and responsibilities! I got my Burner 2.0 irons out to look at the grips after a flood and they look alright...unfortunately my irons are covered in little green spots which Dr Google has diagnosed as verdigris. Apparently scrubbing the metal raw will help! LOL Any ideas how i can remove it without damaging the finish anymore than they already are? Any help will be gratefully recieved! TO
