  1. After struggling to find a forgiving 3W for almost a year, I eventually got a Cobra Baffler fairway wood. With an even and easy swing the ball really flies! And straight too! I have better luck off the fairway than the tee. My gf has the ladies version and hits the crap out of the ball. I bought a used club in like-new condition for $129.99. It's a great looking club and a great value!
  2. My putting sucks. For the last almost 2 years I have been using a Scotty Squareback Extra-Heavy. It was a special order I got a great deal on because it was never accepted by the person who ordered it at Roger Dunn. I have always kinda felt it was a little "un-wieldy" but figured I would adjust to it. Now I'm in a horrible rut. After spending the last week researching and hitting some different putters I noticed the See More brand putter. It didn't really get my attention but, after going to the website and learning the theory behind the "red dot alignment" it made sense. Does it really help? Has anyone tried them with success? Any feedback is appreciated. Also, I've done a search on high-handicap putters but, there isn't a lot of info available online. The only thing I found was a post on this site suggesting a center shafted putter. Thoughts? Thank you!
  3. After work I went to Roger Dunn Golf and hit the Titleist AP1, TM Burner 2.0, Adams CB2, and the Mizuno JPX800. I know clubs are such a personal thing so I don't mean to sound like an advertisement or offend. First, I eliminated the Burner 2.0. Ya, they're cool and all but, I wasn't "feelin it." These were my front-runners initially. Next, I hit the JPX800. Whoa! What a feel. I'm not well versed enough to explain why something feels the way it does but, these just felt crazy good. Solid and like they just "clicked." I tried to clear my mind and hit the CB2. Hm? Kinda "dead" feeling. Plus, they were the most expensive and they don't look as sexy in person. The black finish looks kinda like a faded dark gray. Go figure. I realized that it was between the AP1 and the JPX800. The AP1 was really nice. I liked it more than the TM 2.0 and the CB2. They had a really "polished" feel. It came down to the AP1 and the JPX800... If you have been following this thread you know that I had not even considered the JPX800 before some folks here suggested them. I'm glad they did. In the end the JPX800 won me over. The club heads were smaller than what I'm used to but, they just seem to "find" the ball hit after hit. Not to mention the "click" sound they make just feels awesome. The only bummer is the "Mizuno guy" and fitting cart were at another location so I have to wait until Monday night to get fitted. It's gonna be a long weekend Thank you all for your insight and input! This place rocks.
  4. The JPX800 has definitely got my attention. I spent the better part of last night researching them and I like what I hear. I can't believe they were never on my radar????
  5. Hm? Sounds like there's some folks talking up the Mizunos. I had never thought about those. I assumed they were for better players??? The 2.0 Burners are my 3rd choice as if I use a 7 iron I want a 7 iron not 6 iron distance. The AP1 seem cool but, I'm not liking the durability factor some have mentioned. I'm leaning toward the Adams CB2 at this point. Should I consider the Mizuno? Thank you all for your responses!
  6. Like the title says, I'm interested in those who play or are thinking about purchasing either Adams CB2, Taylormade Burner 2.0 or Titleist AP1 clubs. I've improved quite a bit over the year and I am ready for my first new set of irons. I will go get fitted for whatever clubs I go with... Any insight is appreciated
