Na.... I'm not a Mercedes kind of guy!
-
Comments or bashing? Just be happy! But, speaking of comments... Those were my comments right? By the way. If you actually have an AMG, maybe we could race for pink slips one day?
-
If t's true that "I don't give a flying f>>>," why get so defensive? Oh, it's your opinion... U know what they say about opinions. By the way, this buddy of yours, that you're obviously defending is he really "a guy of the street", because I don't know many street people that have the previlage to play golf? Why don't you count your blessings and stop being a hater?
-
Listen to who's opinions we're reading about. Wannabes that will never make it to his level of golf or income. But, we're quick to point the finger for a stupid move he made. Let he that that is "stupid move free" cast the first stone! Plus, if we were to do something stupid like he did, who would give a shit?

OHhhhhh... I see. Duhhh! I'm a Sergio fan, my son and I spent about an hour talking to him and he was pretty cool, down to earth, but that's pretty crappy of him to do. They actually should tell him something about that or fine him. After all, it's a damn gentlemans game. Unfortunately I'm for most of the complaints. Phil

Trail mix, Bananas, gatorade... -or- Pepsi, hot dogs and snikers... Depends how I feel!

I didn't see or hear about this. What cup are you guys referring to?

Sure.... It's more like cheap assed last resorts!

Same with me and the Mizuno MX23's. Great clubs, but you get to a certain level, or expectation and they just don't fit anymore. It's not that I'm that darn good or anything at a 12-handi, it's just I know I won't get better if I don't know what I'm doing wrong. "This isn't a game of perfection... it's a game of misses and who's misses hurt less".. I forget who I'm quoting, but it's pretty darn true.

I have them both now, the MP32's and the R7 TP's. You're right about the R7's, they're a great club and there's nothing wrong with them. I don't know why, but I'm just looking for something more.... I'm never satisfied? I've hit the MP32's, but I haven't yet played a round with them ( I will this weekend), but they just look so damned good and inspiring. I don't know what the decision's going to be yet, but I do know that I can play the R7 TP's; 84, 82 & 83, the first 3-rounds with them. If the MP32's are in anyway better than these, then they'll stay in the bag and the R7's will be the back-up for the "not so friendly" days.

When you decide or have the time to work towards breaking away from the higher handicap and bringing some playability into your game, you're going to have to consider going towards more of a players club (MP60,MP32,MP67), etc... It's just been my experience that we should try to make the game easier, if we can. But if you hit a maximum forgiveness iron wrong and it goes just about as far as it should, with lit'l penalty, then how will you ever know if you've begun to strike the ball correctly? I'm no pro, but it just makes sense to me???? I've been wrong before.

You couldn't be further from the truth about the lower handicap irons or Titleist not worrying about big named players. Mizuno irons, including the MP60's, MP32's and the Mp67's are played by many different calibered players. .......And as far as Titleist... They're crapping themselves over all the big name player losses.
-
I'm sorry, but I disagree with the lower handicap B.S. I'm a 12 and I hit the MP32 just fine. In fact, I know when I don't. If I were to still be playing one of those huge cavity back "maximum forgiveness" sets of irons, I'd never know if I did hit a bad shot
-
The MP60's. In fact, if you can hit the MP32's or 67's in the short irons, you couldn't go wrong with a set of 4-6 mp60's and 7-pw mp32's or mp67's?

MIZUNO MP60's or MP32's

Don't be mislead by the mislead..... The MP60's and MP32's are for players of all index's. It's a mater of whether or not you're comfortable hitting them and if you intend to grow in your game. I hit the MP32's when I was an 18 and hit them well. I changed irons on several occassions and I still don't know why. I'm back to the best iron I've ever owned, the MP32's and I'm only a 12-handicapper

WELCOME TO OUR HANG OUT AND KEEP IT IN THE SHORT GRASS.......

I think you have a great selection of irons listed in your post and you really couldn't go wrong with either of them. I would simply narrow it down to which feel better and which irons you can manage your distance and workability. But...... I would strongly suggest that you check out the Mizuno line of irons; MP60's, MP32's and MP67's. I've played the X-forged, R7TP's and the X-20 Tours, and the Mizuno MP32's were leaps ahead in feel, workability and forgiveness. Good Luck. and let us know.
-
You're right about those PX's. I didn't like them though... I usually hit a fairly low ball and the PX's just kept it a lit'l too low for me.

Why aren't you a "fan of Tiger"? I'm just curious, being as it is he's done so much for the game and the youth?

Getting a new set of irons: need input
Philfest replied to theboom's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I know alot of people are sending alot of different suggestions your way, including the shaft suggestions, but just rely on the fact that Mizzy isn't going to put a sub-par shaft on a great club. If you like it in your hands, it's what you think you're looking for and your comfortable, then don't add to it with the shaft B.S.... Just get your shaft flex right and play-away... keep it in the short grass Phil -

I think you made a great choice. My last set was the MX 23'S and I'm told that the 25's are even more fine-tuned. When I bought my 23's I was at least a 25-30 and they played the largest role in helping me get down to a 12. They're confidence builders at the set-up, very friendly, soft as any other forged iron and VERY forgiving. I just traded my 2-week old Callaway X-Forged irons for a new set of the Mizuno MP 32's..... Wish me luck -
OK Mr. Golf..... You're the golf man!

I had the Nikon 440 and I forgot it in my cart for 15 min's, went back that quick and it was gone! It was agreat lit'l tool to speed things up, but it wasn't anywhere near the quality of the Pinseeker 1500 (no slope needed). That's the one on my wish list.

X-20 Tour's..... Much more forgiving and just as workable. The 755's are a lit'l too hard for me. JMO
