Can any of those be performed without weights? @iacas : I want to achieve a straighter back, not a straight spine. @mvmac: Thank you for your reply. I'd be happy to have his posture, as his lower back is nice and straight. I mostly bend at the point shown by the arrow, causing back pain and messing up my swing. For this I seek a remedy.
  2. Hello everyone. Still being a beginner golfer, I've learned that a straight back during the setup/swing is vital. I'm having trouble achieving proper posture during the setup, e.a. : only by placing/feeling my hand on my lower back can I bend where it should pivot. Without this trick or any correction I will slump over the ball. Probably due to an accident several years ago, my back is not as trained as it should be and fatigues fast. What muscles are needed to support a straight but leaning over back? What exercises are helpfull to strenghen key muscles. Any tips welcome on how to achieve a correct posture during setup as well as prolonging gametime until the muscles will start to ache / fatigue!
