  1. Ya'll can cry and whine all you want.. What Ernie, Adam and Keegan did was make a PUTTING STROKE.. They was still a backswing and swing using the long putter... Using the excuse that a "fulcrum" makes you a better putter is BS, and we all know it.. To prove my point scientifically, take a pencil or marker and tape string to it and dangle it from a pivot point.. Pull back the pencil with one hand and let it go.. You will notice that it NEVER makes the exact same path across your target line.. This whole debate is over OPINIONS with no data.. Wait till someone makes a putter that operates like a pendulum, that is not anchored to the body, then what? Cry foul again?
  2. This whole rules change really makes no sense to me.. It is nothing more then a group of people cherry picking what they want golf to be over another group of people, with NO LOGIC or data to prove one side or the other.. If anything the fact that golfers using the long putter are NOT in the top 10 or top 20 list of putting stats show me anchoring doesn't make you God.. Was original golf played with a glove? I bet it wasn't, but we allow it, cause it helps.. Was original golf played with a 460 cc driver? NOPE, but we allow it because it helps.. I find it hypocritical that people like Tiger or Davis, use advancements that benefit themselves, but demand a ban on those things that don't.. Maybe we should have a rule that states YOU must wear proper attire at all times when making a swing.. This means Tiger you must wear your shoes and socks when you made that hazard shot out of the water at the Honda.. Could it be said you gained an advantage in your swing by doing what you did? I could make the argument, but no data to prove it..
  3. It's all about the money.. I personally feel that golf is still run by the good ole boys network that just cant' get out of the 20th century.. Does golf have to be played in a collared shirt and slacks? Really? Using outdated media standards is about as bad as outdated attire.. Let the pro and caddies play in anything they want.. Heck even pro bowlers got away from "street clothes".. I would love to see more angles and better views on TV.. I'm so sick of watching the TV angle behind the player making the hole look like it's 3 miles long.. It's a 150 yrd par 3 and what they often show doesn't remotely come close to reality.. My gut still tells that the PGA is going to have a bad wake up call in the next 10 years.. Then what?
