  1. Save yourself the fitting $$$ and use PING's online fitting program: http://www.ping.com/fitting/default.aspx I have the G15s and like them alot. I don't see any difference between them and the G20s. The G25s are also similar, but with a narrower sole. I've been looking at the i20s since I am seeking less sole width and since my long irons are already hybrids, I think I can handle the narrower soles in clubs 5-PW. However, they are still expensive and I may wait until the end of the season when they drop a bit in price...
  2. Callaway Woods Cobra Hybrids PING Irons Titleist Wedges Odyssey Putters
  3. My Bag: Titleist Bag Callaway Razr Hawk Driver Callaway Diablo Octane 3 Wood (I love the 200cc oversized head, in particular since I've often struggled with 3 Woods). Cobra Baffler Rail H Hybrids 17 & 22. I also have a Baffler Rail H 25 Degree that I will swap out with my 5 Iron on long courses or if I blowing up with the 5 Iron. I'm not always proficient with the 5 Iron, so the hybrid comes into play when that happens... PING G15 Irons 5-PW Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Wedges 50, 54 & 58 Odyssey Black Series TD Putters #1 & #5 . When I sour on one, I have the other. Usually, I stay with the blade, but when greens are really slow or putting gets into my head , I throw the mallet into the bag. Callaway Balls - Whichever I can get in RockBottom Ammo Boxes! I like the HX-Hots and Big Bertha Diablos... Or the Warbird Plus works if I can't find the others.
  4. I have the G15 irons. I can't see any difference between them and the G20s. With the G25s, I only see a slightly thinner sole. I've never been a big fan of PING woods. I prefer Callaway woods.
  5. Agreed. I always thought they were the same and they should be! The 42.5 degree PW is very strong lofted in this set. I think we are at the point where these iron sets should just be listed by loft versus number... People are running around saying they hit their 7 iron a country mile, but in actuality it is simply a 6 iron in disguise. The lofts are getting stronger and the shafts longer.
  6. I had the Ping G15s and they were okay, but I felt the soles were too wide and the ball ballooned often. I now have the Callaway Razr X irons and I like those much better. I would recommend them to anyone who shoots a similar handicap as mine, which is around 18.
  7. Does anyone use a different PW than the one that came with your set? Like I have a Vokey 50, 54 & 58 and I'm contemplating replacing my Razr-X PW with a 46 degree Vokey. Not sure if this is wedge overkill or if I should simply keep my set PW and make the jump to the Vokeys with my 50 GW...
  8. Not really trouble hitting the PW, just not liking the wide sole on ANY wedge. I'm on the fence. I also get what you mean by the distance gap between 9i and PW... I like my Vokey 50, 54 & 58, but I'm not sure the 46 makes sense... At one point or other, you have to stop and run with a consistent iron set. Whats next, Vokey 9i? LOL. Thanks for the reply. I think I will mull this over further...

  10. My hyrbids are Baffler Rail H (17 & 22) and as a longtime player of several models of Bafflers, I can say hands down they are the best I've ever owned. Not sure about the AMPs, but I'm sure they are good as well. I like the minimal offset on the Cobra hybrids.
  11. Has anyone here swapped out their PW for one of these? I was thinking of dumping my Razr-X 44 degree PW for the Titleist 46, but I'm concerned the 2 degrees of loft and the more blade-like, less forgiving sole may cause significant distance loss... I have a Vokey 50, 54 & 58 and prefer them over the wide soled irons my set offers, but I'm not sure whether it makes sense to take the plunge and go with all non-set wedges...
