  1. I just ordered my wife a set of Ladies Wilson Pro Staff Ladies from TGW.com - $299 to upgrade her old Spaldings. The only thing not included is the bag, but I bought her a new bag last year for Christmas. It was between those and Top Flite XL Ladies set. After my experience with Wilson brand and a strong response here for the Wilson's, I pulled the trigger yesterday. The Ladies Pro Staff are all graphite shafts. I agree with you that getting a mid-line set is better than getting the cheapest set you can find. Best of luck!
  2. Thanks for everybody's input. I just ordered her the Wilson Pro Staff from TGW.
  3. obsessedgolfer, I would consider that, and I understand the benefit, but since it's a birthday gift, I don't want to give her a used set. drtbk933, thanks for the Golfsmith suggestion. They also have the Ladies Pro Staff. There is a location pretty close to me, so that's also another possibility.
  4. Thanks for the input, guys. I was leaning that way myself. To be honest, I'm looking for a set for my wife - to replace her old Spaldings. I posted a similar message that stated it was Ladies set, and got no responses, so I figured I'd just ask about the manufacturers themselves, rather than gender specific. Anyway, I did just start and have a set of Wilson Deep Reds, and have been told that's a great set to start with, so I was leaning towards Wilson. To answer the questions, I'm considering getting them from The Golf Warehouse. If anybody else has any other places to suggest, I'm all ears.
  5. I'm looking at the above mentioned (complete) sets. They are comparably priced. I'm pretty new to the game, but I would think the Wilson is a better set than the TF, but then I saw that Callaway owns Top Flite, so they may get the nod. Thoughts? Or another set worth looking at in the same price range ($300+/-)
  6. I'm looking to get my wife a new set of clubs for her birthday. She has expressed an interest in getting a new set. She currently has an old set of Spaldings. I'm looking at the above mentioned (complete) sets. They are comparatively priced. I'm pretty new to the game, but I would think the Wilson is a better set than the TF, but then I saw that Callaway owns Top Flite, so they may get the nod. Thoughts? 7. Classic cars, ATVs and motorcycles. I have a 400 hp '69 Cougar, '70 Cougar Eliminator, 2 ATVs, and a Honda Shadow 1100. I also enjoy deep sea fishing, but haven't been able to get the guys together for that recently.

    Paintball

Paintball is awesome. I've played it about a half dozen times and we're trying to get a large group together from the office to play. We play at Skirmish USA in Jim Thorpe, PA.
