  1. The Old Head in Ireland Bandon/Pacific Dunes/Bandon Trails Did some caddying at both these places...The Old Head pretty much ruined any other ocean course for me forever. Which probably explains why of the 3 courses in Oregon I preferred Trails
  2. I'd have to say blind tee shots at resort courses where the majority of players will only play the course once or twice. It's ok for a member's course, but not a one off hit-and-run holiday course.
  3. Knet have 20% off deal at the moment - promo code 2009, advertised on the site. Think it expires 15th feb
  4. The economy will probably change a lot of my routines, but golf will be right near the bottom of the list if i can help it.
  5. I think one of the things you need to look at when buying from the 'clone' companies is their policy on returns - especially in cases where you aren't quite sure whether you're making the right decision Pinemeadow & Gigagolf have a 30 day guarantee where you can use the equipment and if you're not happy you get a full refund, and no restocking fee is charged. Not all vendors will make this offer, so there must be some level of confidence in their product. They know they have to go that extra step to convince you they are good quality, so you may as well take advantage of their offer - think pinemeadow has free shipping on orders over 72 bucks as well. If they don't work out, no loss, just send 'em back and go and get that second hand set from an OEM.
  6. Just a quick note on using the pga value guide...i'm sure most of you are aware of this but for those that aren't - The first value that appears when using the value guide is the trade-in value. If you look directly to the right of this you will see a link that says 'get the re-sale value'. This is the more important value for you when you are trying to work out what a good purchase price for a particular product is. This re-sale price is based on information gathered from ebay.
