  1. Nice to see him playing well. Regardless of public opinion, he's great.
  2. Ready golf is the best way to play. Especially if you know peeps in your group are hackers. Why wait for a guy you know is going to hit a worm burner 40 yards? And don't spend more than a minute looking for your ball if you know your going to lose 10 during the round anyway. Drop another, and hit it. None of us are pros. If we were, slow play wouldn't be an issue. I could care less if you don't add a stroke to your score for losing a ball. Give your self a bonus for doing the right thing and dropping a new ball! And if it's a par 4, and your hitting 9, pick up! No more strokes than double the par for the hole makes it go much quicker. Par 3? No more than a 6 for the hole. Other problem I see though, is the course over booking. Don't send 7 foursomes out in a hour and then tell me to pick it up if on pace for a 5 hour round. Golf ain't cheap. I want to play to improve, not to rush if I don't need too.
  3. Protein shakes with Amino acids are the best way to recover sore muscles. Also, resistance bands are best to strengthen bad backs. Better than free weights if your injured.
  4. I disagree with equipment not helping.Although it won't make your swing better, or fix your ball position, if you go to s place like Golfsmith, they can check your spin rate etc and help with the "ballooning". Instead of buying a a new 50 degree, maybe they can bend your 52 to make it 51. You can get fairly accurate numbers on each wedges distance as well. they can check to see if the bounce is right for you, maybe you need to change to a different ball? Maybe you need new wedges? either wsy, you'll benefit from using a monitor to help you.
  5. It depends on the flight you want. But for argument sake, you still want to hit down on the ball. For me, I move the ball back about 1-2 inches from center.
  6. I don't care what anybody eats, talks about, or how many balls they scoop out of the water or woods. As long as I'm not waiting to tee off and not playing a 5 hour round. To each their own. Some people only get to play once in a while and like to enjoy the perks. There's a course I play that has the best damn burgers I've ever had! I don't normally stop at the turn, but on this course you can bet your a** I'm grabbing a burger if I'm hungry or not. Just don't slow me or anyone else down, and you should feel free to do whatever you want out there.
  7. it's been a while since you posted this, I'm curious if you had thoracic back surgery since this happened?
