  1. The best video's I have seen in regard to TGM is: . This is much more to the point than Manzella's videos. There is a series of four videos for Hitters and about the same for Swingers. I have found that, much like the Bible, I get more from people's interpretations than the actual read. TGM makes A LOT of sense though. It is a brilliant book that was written by a poor communicator.
  2. Thanks everyone, I do agree that a Vokey or Cleveland 60 degree would give me more options in degree of bounce, but was just curious if anyone knew what the bounce was for the standard lob wedge for Burners. I have a GolfSmith store in Saint Paul (about 40 min away) that I think I will go to and just hit some and see what is best for me. Thanks again, Bill
  3. Here is a great site that makes TGM less complicated: http://www.golflagtips.com/focus-on-...l-lag/#more-24 This guy explains swinging and hitting very well. This site decreased my scores by 8-9 strokes on average. It is very well done and the best thing is that the guy who created it, did it for the love of the game, and no monetary reasons.
  4. Does anyone know the degree of bounce an 09 Burner Lob (60 degree) wedge has? All I can find is that it is "standard" and all companies seem to have their own version of standard.. It would be nice to have this for a matching set but I want around a 7-8 degree of bounce. I'm also looking at Vokey and Scratch, which have that degree. Thanks, Bill
  5. Here is a great site that gives drills for this and a lot of really good instruction and this guy created the site all out of love for the game and not for money: http://www.golflagtips.com/focus-on-...l-lag/#more-24
  6. I would have to agree with Kingfisher and this is what he said, To me it depends on a couple of factors 1) Lie - whether you're on the short stuff / up against the fringe / in slightly thicker stuff 2) How much green you have to work with - if it's 20y to the pin, but 18y of that is green I would probably go with an 8 or 9 iron, hop it on the green and let it roll out. Conversely, if it's 20y to the pin, but the pin is only 2y on, then you're looking at SW or LW to fly it most of the way.
  7. A few companies like Titleist Vokey wedges or Scratch brand wedges offer 4 degree bounce. Scratch also has a good way of determining what is the best bounce for your swing at their site. I am in the market for a 60 degree so I have been studying a lot about them lately. Personally, I would go some where that sells clubs and see if you can even hit a 4 degree bounce wedge before grinding one down..The less bounce, the tougher it is to hit for the average golfer like me..
