  1. In my Taylormade bag I play a TM R9 supertri. In my Mizuno bag I play a Ping K 15. I also have a Cobra S2 and TM R9 460. All great drivers.
  2. My backup set is the 09 TM Burners and they are a great club. Long distance irons for sure. I'm not sure what the difference' is between the 09 burners and the new 2.0, but I know you can pick up a set of the 09's for about $200 less.
  3. The mizuno jpx 800 is in the exact same category as the AP 1s, Burner 2.0 and other game improvement irons. It's a very forgiving club that hits the ball a long way, looks great, awesome feel and sound. I play a stock setup in steel regular flex shaft which produces a medium-high ball flight. I highly recommend this club.
  4. I play a ping k 15 10.5* and really like it. If you are slicing due to an incorrect swing, you are better off taking a lesson to correct the slice. I don't find the k 15 any straighter than any other driver. I do like the look, sound and feel of the club and that is why I bought it.
  5. dbwood, The titleist ap 1's chrome seems to wear faster than most other irons. I noticed a significant amount of scratches during the short amount of time I played them. They still performed well, but after only a few rounds and some range time, they were really beat-up. To some this isn't an issue, but I am particular about my equipment.
  6. I played the Titleist AP 1's for a month. Great club, but the durability was an issue. I exchanged them for a set of Mizuno jpx 800 irons. I find the mizuno's are a little more forgiving and the feel a little better than the AP 1's.
  7. +1 for the mizuno line of irons. I returned my titleist AP 1 irons because they were not holding up very well. They performed great but the quality of the chrome was not up to par. After 1 month of use they looked like a 2 year old set of irons. I went with the jpx 800 and find these perform as well if not better than the AP 1's and the quality of the chrome is more durable. I couldn't be happier with the jpx 800's.
  8. Great choice! I just bought a new set of Titleist AP 1 710 irons with the same shaft. I always thought Titleist irons were for low handicap players, but the AP 1 is so forgiving it almost seems unfair.
  9. I just picked up a set of Titleist 710 AP 1 irons. They feel so sweet, almost like a forged club feel. I get a nice high ball flight with the stock Nippon shafts. I've gained distance too over my old set of callaway x 22 irons. I highly recommend the titleist AP series.
