  1. Check out Nike VR wedges, i play the 52, 56, and 60. They are sweet.
  2. I got a sleeve of the 20XI-S today from the golf shop and took them out for a round today. I really like this ball, the cover didnt tear up as bad as other balls (One Tour, ProV1, Penta).
  3. Just bought some Nike VR blades. I played my first round with them today and shot a 79, which isnt bad since it is my first set of blades. But i do gotta say they are SWEEEEET!!!
  4. Give the guy a break, there are plenty of us that can hit the ball 300 off the tee. I do it, guys I play with do it, I see it all the time. Go to your golf shop and look for a driver that looks appealing to you, and probably with a stiff to extra stiff shaft. Hit them and buy what works best for you. Some golf shops have the 30-90 day exchange period if your not liking what you got.
  5. if you use any type of shoe (golf, training, etc.) with some type of bottom with some grip or cleats on it, they will do the job. My swing speed is fast so there is lots of action going on with my swing so without a better shoe i would be losing my balance, if you swing with power or lots of movement these will help you keep your footing.
  6. no reason for this unless your gettin a hook up. but if so i would go with either titleist or nike
  7. 3 wood 5 iron 8 iron sand wedge putter
  8. Im currently playing Cleveland CG4 Tour irons 3-pw. I hit them pretty good and i have a consistent swing, im only looking to maybe upgrade soon because of the condition of some of the short irons. Would upgrading to some new irons be any improvement?
  9. has anyone hit the Nike Vr Pro combo irons? I like the way Nike set this up with the cavity back, split back and blade. Im looking to get some new irons soon so any feedback is good
  10. Agree, nothing like hitting a solid 3,4, or 5 iron onto a long par 5.
  11. If you can hit your 3 iron good then replace the wood/hybrid with another wedge. you will have more options when your closer to the green. i just made this switch from my 5 wood to another wedge since i can hit my 3 iron well and it has helped lower scores.
  12. A lesson might help and might not. Instead of spending the money on a lesson, have one of your playing partners watch your swing at the range and see what he says. I have done this for friends and it has helped, and I am not one to give any lesson. Just try that first and see how it goes, if not then get a lesson im just not a fan of them, and it will save you some $$.
  13. I shot a 78 today at Skylinks in Long Beach, a 38 on the front and 40 on the back.I went bogey, double bogey on 17 and 18. Overall it was a good round with a lot of pars and an eagle on 15. There were just a few putts i should have dropped, but i have to say the putting is looking a little better
  14. I play my pw in my set which is strong at 45* nike sv tour 50*, nike VR 56* and 60*
  15. I havent played much in LA, Im from Long Beach and we have a few nice courses here. Skylinks, El Dorado, and Big Rec are all good courses to play, weekends tend to get backed up but weekdays are great. Eldo being the toughest of them all, Skylinks is really fun to play with some fun par 5's, Big Rec has a lot of hills but is also fun.
