    Getting Hosed

Guys, both shots in our format get called back, and then one of the players has to replay the shot, with only 1 shot being replayed. Hole outs etc could be recalled. Both players per team had 2 reverse mulligans to use and had to play 2 of the re-play shots once a reverse mulluigan was called.

I absolutely would have done the same thing. Another fellow had his sand shot (green side bunker) called back for holing out. It was a fun format and really tested your grit. By the way, I like our flag as your avatar. Semper Fi, Big Joe

    Getting Hosed

The way the format worked for us was that 1 reverse mulligan cancelled both shots and then one of the 2 players took the mulligan shot. Each player had to take 2 of the mulligan shots. Sorry for the confusion.

    Getting Hosed

I played in a reverse mulligan tournament yesterday. 2 man teams each man has 2 reverse mulligans and can call back and nullify their opponents shots. Then 1 man of the opposing team has to replay the shot. So here is my story: My partner and I both tried to really each power up a drive, anyway we are both out of bounds. He plays a provisional we are now laying 3 on a par 4. We are out 117 yds. He knocks his 3 feet from the pin. Best scenario is a bogey. I knock it in. The first time I have ever holed out from the fairway. Our opponents call it back. My partner rehits and we are in the rough just off the fringe. We end up making a 6.
  6. I just posted a review on the R-11. I believe for me it will be a game changer. Just the right shaft for me. I am already planning my attack for my home course. I miss hit it twice yesterday and still got it out to 250 yds plus. The group playing in front of us, asked if it was my drive on the the first hole we played. We had a shot at the green on a par 5. (Captain's Choice, we played Birkdale and it was 179 to the flag after my drive of 290+ yds. Hole 13) I missed the long drive on another hole. I started the ball down the middle and between the ball drawing back and the wind blowing I was in the rough. 10 yards ahead of the long drive pin. We ended up winning the tournament. I am totally stoked about this club.
  7. I bought the R-11, for me I believe it will be a game changer. I had been playing a Callaway IZ. The ball jumps off the face and is very easy to control. It actually goes where you want it too. I would be hard pressed to give this one up. I reviewed it in Sandtrap, check it out.
  8. I hit the new R11 this past Monday. I have never picked up a driver and hit it dead center on the face before. (3 times in row) This was a demo model. I put one in the bag on Tuesday. I have still too hit my own driver, I had a Decade grip put on it. So I have not adjusted it at all yet. I am giving it a whirl today in a Captain's Choice. There is a lot of spring off the face. I have a ruptured disc in my lower back, when I was using the demo it was acting up. I was taking 1/2- 3/4 swings; nice and smooth and the ball was sailing out to the 250 yd mark. Now I am a pretty big guy and have a swing speed of 103-105. I picked up some Callaway Hot Bites for the Tee and some Pro V1's for the approach. Gotta love Captain Choice's.

I have both the 5 iron and driver. It really does help you groove a swing. My daughter is now using them. She got very frustrated that it kept breaking on her. Now her tempo and swing path is much better.

    Moe Norman

Actually, I used to play Natural Golf and Moe was the figure head for the company. I tour my right bicept and have not been able to swing like that since. It is definetley a straighter, more powerful swing. At least for me it was.
  11. I bought one and tried it out for the first time this evening after work. I would tell you, you do have to keep the shaft in correct position. It does not allow you to cheat. A friend of mine(Tyler Clark) who is a teaching pro, was coming off the course so I had him hit it. He of course is a PGA Pro and he said it would be a huge benefit. I struggled with it, and when I was doing the right things the ball jumped off the club face. I went and got my 7 iron (MP-58) out of the vehicle, I was amazed after a half hour of using the Tour Striker how much cleaner I was hitting my MP. For the time I can see myself using it during practice on the range. It was humbling, as is the game of golf.
  12. Hello to my fellow duffers and low handicappers and everyone in between; I hail from Midlothian Va. I belong to Brandermill CC. I am a mid handicapper ie 13. I work as a brick sales man hate the winter other than for duck and deer hunting. Since most of that is over, I have the itch to get out and play in the worst way. Joe Rioux
