  1. Visit my youtube channel and remember to click the lower right hand corner 1080p for best quality!: https://www.youtube.com/user/Mindseye1982/videos?flow=grid&view;=0&sort;=p
  2. compare to my 2012 US Open Tiger Woods video and click 1080p in lower right corner for best quality:
  3. Retief Goosen plays a practice round at Pebble Beach- His chipping if phenomenal and swing is fluid and my videography and editing is probably the top amateur golf round compilation. Please judge for yourself. Yes the camera is shaky and I should have used a tripod but I believe I have not seen anything like it. Please rate your enjoyment and let me know if you have seen anything like it (better than my semi viral Tiger Woods 2012 US Open Video). Some of the camera angles are phenomenal; open topic; enjoy and make sure you view and click the 1080p in lower right hand corner for best quality!!:
  4. just wondering if people have formulated these post with or without knowledge of how trevino himself described in his own words (with the help of an editor and illustrator) in one of his books? This book which I speak of is a masterpiece. Has anyone read it?
  5. I have read 5 lessons many times over as well as Power Golf by ben hogan. Yet a detailed account of his fade has not been accounted for. I do vaguely reacall a source that alledged Hogan said that Lee Trevino has "got it", or understands what ben hogan does in his swing. Trevino has been regarded as on of the best ball strikers of all time, so I do think that vague source does have merit. Anyone who has knowledge I would be much appreciative of a compare and contrast of these two or just a detailed account of Hogans Swing. I have a good idea of Trevino's swing as I believe he conveyed it well in his book own book.
  6. correction my swingweight is E5 exactly in the driver
  7. Ben Hogan did grind his clubs to a negative bounce: while the solution to taking the left side out of play does not lie soley in one place, certainly it was a piece of what made hogans fade so great. I can hit a fade, but am after a specific type fade: the ben hogan fade.
  8. Is there an overall weight restriction on the driver? Please someone let me know- I am building up my grips to get the swing weight down
  9. I fit me: went from less weight and less stiff flex shafts all the way up to what I have now and each change has yielded success. I would like to get away from the stigma of the 48 in driver with another set up. But have to work on other things in my game before I have time to fix the quite functional specs
  10. 1) I would like to take the left side out of play 2) If the greatest ball striker of all time used 5 degree open clubs, I would like to try them. Everyone should want to try them. SOMEONE SHOULD MAKE THEM. I cant understand why it would be soooo hard to accomplish this.
  11. How many balls do pros hit daily when intensly practicing? How do the pros practice? what are they working on when practicing?
  12. Does anyone play a high swingweight? I play an F swingweight driver 10.5 dymo v2 proforce 79g x flex 48 inch driver and smash draws 265-280 on level with varying conditions. Anyone play either a similar length or swingweight?
  13. I do fight a hook and hate to see a hook, conversly when I fade I hate to see a slice. I do fight a hook. I lofted my 7 iron up and flattened the lie so that I could hit a 3/4 shot 155-160 yards; that fade I was hitting was very distinctive and felt very easy to do. I want most of my draw swing mechanics I impliment to produce a fade. You cant talk to a hook. You can give me the most open club and I can figure out how to hook it. The problem is that when I fade it, I do not want to get double crossed, I dont want ot see a hook or even a slight pull when fading. Nike said the make a special order to 1 degree open in their irons and that is as far as I got. I want something similar to Hogans specs. the most puzzling thing right now to figure out is how to get the irons to have a negative offset or sit 5 degrees open at address.
  14. I would like to have my blade irons sit open at address and not just by having a weak grip. I called nike, callaway, and mizuno to ask if they made any sets or could make any sets like that and they all said no! I have a loft and like machine and have opened the lofts and increase the flat lie angle and still I would like the club to sit more open. Is there anyone who can help me figure this dilema out?
  15. I saw this on another site: Quote: Hi Guys, I watched a Titleist Tour Van video. The rep was talking to Bryce Molder regarding grip build up tape configurations. ie +3 at 2", 4", 6" or 4",6",8" etc. Most players cant feel such differences but it sure seemed to be a concern to the better player. Any comments or configuration suggestions?
  16. I did have a string of hitting 6 of 7 fwys from the us open tees last week with this driver while playing 8 holes. NO BS. Hey shanks a millions you posted: "Wow, you are better than a tour pro, amazing. I wonder why your handicap is 11? Seriously, don't be a fool." """"""" I dont know of any touring pros that do hit a 48 in driver so my guess is that you were referring to my 265 yard fade and 278 yard draw as being tour quality if accurate? Please clarify. thanks
  17. Thank you for all the posts! Now with all that knowledge I would like to ask a more detailed follow up question: With a closed stance ( operational definition of this closed stance is the relativity of the feet to one another; the right foot is perpendicular to the target line and also parallel left of it and therefore also aiming parallel left of the flag, the right foot is back of the left foot and the left foot is open from parallel the right foot. The toe line direction (stick touching the toes pionts) faces right of where the right foot is aimed. Applying an inside takaway and returning it on the inside on the downswing with the club slightly open what might be more desirable: bringing the club to the inside onthe follow through, or on the outside ( and playing for the push fade ) If playing for that push fade I am assuming that a reorientation left with these same standards is applicable, Thoughts please- much appreciated
  18. I do hit the middle of the face most of the time with my 48 in driver. I do understand that shorter length = accuracy. The swing weight is in F. I think I could go shorter. But not yet. as to my 11 handcp. I am over the mid way point of a swing revamp (to more of a one plane swing) that happend when I started shooting 81s with the old 'loop' swing: Inside takaway, hinge up, high rt elbow, drop/slide and turn and fire- rt elbow close to rt hip at impact. Got my distance (finally). And that is huge. Next step is to make it accurate and not loose distance for my next configuration of driver. There is method to this madness. The longer driver ( I believe ) has help accentuate where faults lie and I am better for it. With the right shaft at a more suitable length and a better swing I think I should be able get more distance bc of better mechanics. And now that I am beginning to work the ball off the tee and seriously not get double crossed, my hdcp will drop def.
  19. I can swing a 48 in. driver well. On level I get like 265 with a fade and up to 280 with a draw proforce v2 79g x fex
  20. How do I measure the cross-section? Is there a tool?
  21. Also : (i) For clubs other than putters the grip must be circular in cross-section, except that a continuous, straight, slightly raised rib may be incorporated along the full length of the grip, and a slightly indented spiral is permitted on a wrapped grip or a replica of one. What is 'circular in cross-section' Main Question: Can I have undulations in my grip? Can I put tape in a specific spot?
  22. Nice; ...this: (iii) The grip may be tapered but must not have any bulge or waist. Its cross-sectional dimensions measured in any direction must not exceed 1.75 inches (44.45 mm). Is Bulge and Waist (as it is to apply) measured by a cross-sectional excess of 1.75 inches? How am I to understand this?: How do I measure so that I know what my limitations are? Last thought: Does 'cross-sectional' have to do with the volume-length of the grip?
  23. I also understand that there are rules governing the legality of grip proportions. Can I make my grip illegal my adding build up tape? I know what the rule states but I need to know what the limitations are by a perceptual description: what qualities might an illegal grip have? how was it made? Or can I slap build up tape on in whatever extreme fashion, throw a grip on, and presto? Where is the line? Please help
  24. 1/8 in grips have been more solid for my L Cadet type hand. I am starting to experiment with grips and building up those grips with masking tape as. I was wondering if anyone knew perticular configurations of applying build up tape to the shaft for a better grip. I have some theories but would like info or insight if anyone has any. Thanks. Let the discussion begin
  25. Hello all this is my first post; I hope to generate some feedback and/or good insight: Fact: Pro golfers can hit draws and fades from closed and open stances. Question 1: Why is that? Question 2: Can someone take a good shot at explaining the dynamics of hitting a fade through a varyingly closed stance through a set of irons? Keep in mind you can have a closed/open stance and aim that right or left of the target. Please someone who has knowledge: enlighten,
