  2. Okay, I know it is probably a large "ego" pill to swallow (i'm counting myself here), but has anyone compared a Pro V1 X vs an NXT Tour? I ask because I am hearing that the new NXT Tour feels good and has solid control/stop around the greens. I generate a lot of spin with my shots and the pro I work with suggested maybe we compare the two against each other too see (I also shred the covers on Pro V1 X's with wedges, gets expensive). I have played the Pro V1 X every since it came out. Just wanted to see if anyone (since the weather is just now breaking here) has done a comparison like this with the 2011 or 2010 balls.
  3. Is anyone seeing any difference with the CC wedges in terms of shredding golf ball covers? I have an issue with this using the old Spin Mills and Pro V1 X.
  4. I typicall go through 3-4 per round. A lot of this will depend on the number and type of wedge shots I have. I play the Pro V1 X and have a tendency to shred the cover with my wedges. I agree that if it is just a "paint" you are probably okay to play a little more with that ball, but I tend to get down into the cover. At that point if I playing any sort of competitve round I will switch balls. I'm hoping this isn't as big of issue with the new grooves and new Pro V1 X.
  5. I play with the Pro V1 x, but definitely don't make it all the way around with one ball. I tend to shred the covers whenever hitting wedge shots. I am actually hoping that a combination of the new Vokey Spin Mill CC and new Pro V1 X will negate this a little. Gets expensive shredding a couple balls each round.
  6. Has anyone had a chance to compare the Vokey Spin Mill and the Spin Mill CC version? I have the 2010 Spin Mills and am thinking about replacing with the CC version. I have never had any issues being able to put spin on different shots with wedges and actually have more of an issue shredding the covers of Pro V1 x's when I do hit wedge shots. Was hoping that the new CC's would help with the cover shredding. Looking forward to hear anyone's iinput.
  7. I will give this a try on the lettering. Did you try and apply just to the paint fill areas or did you dip the whole putter into a bowl and let soak for some time period?
  8. Thanks for the info!!
  9. Is anyone else having issues editing their signature? I followed the instructions above but when I go to "My Profile" I am not seeing the section to edit your signature. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Thanks.
  10. I currently have an Aldila Voodoo X flex shaft in my Titleist 909D2 9.5* driver. I have typically played 8.5* drivers in the past, but with it getting a little harder these days to find many 8.5's I have given this 9.5 set up a try. I have had pretty good results with not too high of a ball flight. I have hit drivers in the past the V2 and liked the feel. I have seen that you can get the V2 shaft for a good price lately and have considered swapping my driver, fw, and hybrid shafts out. Does anyone have any experience with comparing the two shafts and the trajectories they typically promote? Thanks for your feedback.
  11. I assume this does not damage the finish of the putter?
  12. I was looking for any suggestions or tip people have on removing paint fill from a Scotty Cameron Studio Select. I have a Newport that had a little bit of one of the front circle loose some of the paint fill. I figured I would that opprotunity to change the fill colors on the rest of the putter along with these circles. Obviously the fill in the circles is pretty easy, but the lettering is much tougher. Will take any suggestions or proven ideas people have. Thanks!
