I just bought an Odyssey Teron after testing out a few different models. I'm a new golfer and these were the things that i noticed in my putter selection.
First, weight of head. I like the head to be heavier then blade types. It gives me an easier 'pendulum' swing and consistent follow-through.
Second, i like the while lines on the 3 areas of the Teron. It makes it easier to align the ball (aim) and gives you the 'white streak' effect when you do your back/forward swing. Helped me with alignment and aim. In practice, the ball was going where i wanted it to go more then the other clubs.
Third, I like the feel of the ball impact. Its not a 'ping' or a 'dud'. It has enough of feel where you can know, by impact, how far the ball will go. I don't know if i'm describing this right. If i am putting 30 ft or 10 fit, there is a certain 'impact' the ball makes. One is more obviously with the lengthier distance, but you can kind of feel what a 30 ft putt and a 10ft putt is like with this putter. I couldn't feel this with the TaylorMade Spider while the Nike Everclear was 'too light'. Teron seemed to be just right.
