  2. Finally got to see the putter in person.... it is absolutely incredible. The craftsmanship and level of detail is fantastic. Really nice feel too. The head is silicon bronze with a polished nickel coating. Shaft looks to be a true temper stepless square. They installed a WinnPro X 1.18" after I told them what grips I like. I've never felt this particular grip before, but I'm really liking it so far. Definitely give GolfAlchemy a look if you're wanting any custom work. Here are a few pics.
  3. It looks incredible. I have yet to see it in person, but I know it's waiting for me when I get back home this weekend. Thanks again to Mario and TST staff for this awesome contest. Mario was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and it's obvious that the workmanship from Golf Alchemy is top notch. edit: I can't get over how cool the dual pistol alignment mark is.
  4. Here's a face-on of me doing the drill yesterday. Didn't realize how long the backswing was. Should I work on shortening that for the drill? Also looks like I'm not getting the hands very forward. Thoughts?
  5. Making a little bit of progress. I've done about 3 buckets worth of the weight preset drill, and it looks like it may take 3 more. I'll record myself doing the drill next time, because I may be doing it wrong, or swinging to fast or something. I am somewhat inconsistent with contact. Here's a full swing from the last session. I also need to work more diligently on the back swing issues Erik mentioned. It looks like it will be staying above the upper 40s for the next week or so, so I'll have some good days to practice.
  6. Will do! This will be a good opportunity to practice my product photography. Mario from Golf Alchemy already has the ball rolling on the putter. He mentioned the fact that the putters are forged in the same factory as F1 Maclaren and Rolls Royce parts , which the gearhead part of me found super cool. Overall, from what I've read and seen, I should expect some top notch work.
  7. Awesome! Thanks everybody. And thanks to Golf Alchemy and the whole TST crew for running this. That's going to be a lot of fun to putt with.
  8. I'm in. Already have some avatar ideas, most of which involve Bama football.
  9. Can already tell that it's going to take a lot of work to change the picture when it comes to weight transfer. Question about the legs and feet.... How much emphasis should be placed on what the right foot (for a righty) does at impact? I find myself struggling to keep the inside of the right foot down at impact, even with the preset drill. Is a planted right foot at impact a commonality of a good swing? Looking back at other threads and pro swings, it looks like it isn't, but is it something I should work on eliminating?
  10. Thanks for the swift response Erik. Biggest issue now is consistency with contact. Thins and chunks outnumber the solid hits at the moment.
  11. I feel like I finally have the turn ingrained. So what should be my next focus? Weight shift? Swing plane?
  12. Just saw this thread... for some reason, after seeing the Dirty Harry wedge, Scarface popped in my head. I might do another design or two before the deadline if that's cool. Obviously other little design cues could be added to it.
  13. It still feels weird and different, but definitely feels more powerful and athletic.
  14. Full time undergrad student as well as a sports photographer covering mostly University of Tennessee sports. You can check out my work at: www.andrewbruckse.com
  15. Focused only on the hip turn today, and had the longest practice session ever doing so. I screen grabbed my position at the top of the swing from over a week ago compared to today for posterity. Lots of work ahead of me.
