  1. Clearly he was offering his unvarnished opinion of Tiger and as I understand it, unprompted by the media. When a player makes the choice to make comments, he is going to suffer the criticism when his own record is brought up if his choice is to tell people what HE thinks is wrong with Tiger.
  2. Agreed and those guys tend to play more consistently, especially in the bigger events, than do those who flap their gums. Those guys understand how difficult it is to stay focused in all events but more importantly in the bigger events like WGC's and majors. They put more time into their own games and preparation than they do worrying about what to say about Tiger. Case in point is Ian Poulter. All flash and no cash, so to speak.
  3. It may not be fair, but it is what it is. Tiger set the bar so high that all are failing by comparison. For the forseeable future there is no player who seems poised to be what Tiger has been to the game. Meaning that no one currently playing is going to win 14 majors and 71 tournaments on The PGA Tour. Lots of young guns out there, but no one with the moxy that Tiger had when he came on tour.
  4. Perhaps he was. But were I advising him in any capacity, or were I the player being questioned, I'd simply state that I'm focused on my own game, this tournament, the sponsors and fans, and my thoughts on my chances to win. Instead, whether prompted or not, some of these guys just can't help themselves but to make some negative comment about Tiger. My guess is they've spent so much time getting spanked by him over the years, that it makes them feel good to have 'one up' on him so to speak, so each of those who do so, love to take advantage of the role reversals in a sense. Best thing they can all do is to avoid it altogether, focus on their own games, and start winning.
  5. My point would be he's not the world #2 based on his most recent play. In fact, I'd say that since ascending to # 1, he's actually played worse than prior to. Same thing seemingly happened to Westwood. Once he got there, played worse. Donald was poised to take the top spot, then fell back. Not something we're used to seeing from the top player in the world is it? The game is much more level than it used to be and I'm not sure there is a #1 right now.
  6. I'll say this as politely as I can. The particular website in question loves to endorse rumor, innuendo, and sometimes outright hatred of Tiger Woods. Just saying, consider the source. By the way. What if he does part ways with Foley? So what?
  7. Kaymer at The Masters. MC Kaymer at Quail Hollow Nearly dead last.
  8. Yep, Kaymer has been on a real hot streak since then hasn't he? I love all the big talk not backed up by results from these guys. I just wish we could find someone, anyone, who can actually shut their pie-holes and just start winning big tournaments.
  9. It always interests me when a player with no majors, no instructor, and few wins believes he's qualified to speculate on where another player is with their swing changes. If memory serves, Tiger played pretty darn well at Augusta, and Bubba, well, he finished 11 shots behind Tiger and 15 shots off the lead. Perhaps Bubba should spend more time preparing for majors and less time worrying about Tiger. Just saying.
