  1. Wow, that must have felt really awkward, trying to make a backswing while keeping the club straight. Thats funny!
  2. Thanks everyone. I will go out to my local golf shop and hit a few and hopefully find one that I like. I'm really looking forward to getting a hybrid, because I can't hit my 3 or 4 irons 10 feet.
  3. Well, after seeing many golfers, both pro and ametuer, switching to hybrid clubs, I have decided it is time for me to ditch my 3 and 4 irons and replace them with hybrids. Now, as I have found out, there are a lot of options out there when looking for new clubs. I have been researching different types of hybrids, but I thought I would ask for the advice of some who already have hybrids. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  4. I use the Nike Sasquatch 460, regular flex, although I may soon need to upgrade to a stiff. It's a pretty good club and can straighten you out a little, as long as you can get used to the tremendous size. I used my dad's Taylormade Burner Bubble before I got my new driver, and it was pretty good too. One thing I am getting pretty sick of is Taylormade's advertising, "The #1 Driver in Golf". What they don't seem to mention is that although they have about 10 times more tour pros using their driver than Nike does, Nike still has about twice as many wins. LOL.
  5. It was great to see a new guy get the win. He handled the pressure and sank that birdie putt on the last hole to win. Congratulations Bateman
  6. My dad recently took a lesson from a local golf pro, and I played a round of golf with him yesterday. He kept talking about lifiting the tray. When he actually managed to do it correctly, he launched the ball. He ended up hitting a few shots nearly 300 yards, so it works pretty well for him.
  7. One of my older cousins has a tendency to think he hits it farther than he actually does. He'll hit a pretty good drive, and then say something like "Yep, that had to be a good 290", and he went on for years thinking he was some hotshot, until one day he played with a person in his group who had the SkyCaddie. He "ripped" a drive, then borrowed the SkyCaddie to see how long it was. He thought it was at least 290 or 300, it turns out it was barley 250. As stated earlier in this thread, it really does give you respect for the pros who really do hit it 300+.
