  1. I was inspired by this story and dipped my isi's today, photos show the before and after. Vinegar and salt is definetely the way to go after trying coke a few years back, just do as the OP says!
  2. I was always hitting a fade and thought it may have been requiring a stiffer shaft. I sorted my swing plane using the 9-3 drill, switched to reglar shafts and now find I have a nice right to left little draw. I think i may have been looking for the prblem in my clubs when i just needed to sort out a few fundamentals. I thik if you are fading, slicing, you may not be generating enough swing speed and as a result clubface will still be open at impact.
  3. Are i20's forged? I thought only PIng ANser range were? Ayway I bought some g20's a few months back- never did get used to those shovels, too clunky and too upright lesson learnt. Sold them on and now gaming a sweet old set of WIlson Staff Progressive irons from the early nineties. They cost me 31 pounds less than 5% of the g20's and feel so much better. Just goes to show we are all different and what suits one may not be the best for the other. Learnt my lesson - an expensive one on the Pings though, but thats just me!:-
  4. I have the g20's. White Spot +.25 length. I Chose the Project x 5.5 based in Past expierience with this Shaft. Happy with the Choice Great Shaft for Myself and am now hitzig more gir's.
  5. I guess I was lucky when finding my club. Being new to the area and not knowing anyone outside work (all non golfers) I thought I would be playing golf alone. I was lucky to find a local club with a very active mens section. Every Sunday through out the year members meet in the clubhouse at 0730. A quick coffee then we all gather at the first tee as 4 ball grouping are announced for a shot gun start. It is generally two flights but last week due to numbers it was three flights. It is a competition every week of various formats. The beauty of it is being a shotgun start we are all completed and back in the clubhouse for about 1300. From there a couple of drinks, Captains round up and competition results and prizes given. No waiting around for end of season presentations and the knowledge that next week could always be better! So now I have a regular partner, get to play with and meet 2 new people every week, competitive golf every week, guess I landed on my feet-hey ho !
  6. I have found over the last 3 rounds I have played that by leaving a good inch between left hand and top of club gives me a lot more control, accuracy and consistency.
  7. Crushed a couple of 300 yarders today but also sliced a couple of 260 yarders- my course is open and I can get away with it. I would still trade for 230-250 down the middle every time.
  8. Hi all, looking for some advice on holding a Medal round together. Once again today I was cruising along playing 5 shots under my handicap of 14 only to blow up on the last 2 holes. Treble and double bogey later and I am carding 14 over, net par round. Now I can look back and be generally happy with the round, some good golf played and on a positive I kept it to the 16th to blow up! but some blow up 5 shots lost in 2 holes arrghh someone help me and my self destructive ways!!
