  1. I bury them in the sand.
  2. I've played a number of "tough" courses over the years.. Carnoustie, The Old Course in 40 mph winds, Belgrade lakes, Muirfield ,Troon, Kittansett in heavy wind, but the toughest is a tie between Royal Portrush and Royal County Down in North Ireland. Windy, rainy, cold Portrush is directly on the North Sea and conditions play a huge factor. County Down is long windy, plenty of blind shots, brutal bunkers with "eyelashes", rough that defies imagination. I'd play both again in a heartbeat, but they both kicked my ass.
  3. It is a maintenance bridge. Augusta is heaven on earth. Television does not begin to do the course justice.
  4. Lots of good golf in central Mass. Blackstone National is very good as is Blissful Meadows (I'm a member at the Bliss), Wachusett, Kettle Brook, Cyprian, Red Tail, Stow Acres, New England CC, Highfields. I'm not a fan of Shining Rock, mostly because of pace of play issues. Long par 3s, short par 4s are a recipe for slow play. I've played there 5 or 6 times and never gotten around in less than 5 hours. The new course at Juniper is good. Bedrock is ok ~ .
