  2. Check out Mark Crossfield's new video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmOtRkHiDhI&feature;=plcp
  3. Nothing really special in my bag. Bump and run with 9 or 8 iron and punch usually with 5 iron. No flop shot. I can try to hit one, but the outcome is unpredictable, even with a good contact. It's on my practice list but with a lower priority than improving my bump and run. Fade/slice I can do quite reliably. Happens also quite regularly by accident. Draw/hook doens't usually happen by accident, but too often I end up with a straight shot when trying to hit a draw.
  4. Hybrid sounds good to me but isn't 21° closer to a 3 iron, at least when comparing lofts? It might be different case distance wise.
  5. In a Callaway Warbird stand bag: Cleveland Launcher 15° 3 wood Cleveland Launcher 20.5° 3 hybrid Wilson Ci7 4 - PW, SW Cleveland CG14 50° GW Taylormade Rossa Itsy Bitsy Spider 34" Driver and sand wedge are in the shopping list.
  6. My goal for this summer is to play low 90's and break 90 for the first time. To achieve this I have to: 1. Improve my iron play. Gaining consistancy and accuracy due regular and smart range practice will be the key. 3. Practice chipping and short game. 2. Get more confident with putting.
  7. Year after buying my first own iron set, I bought 3 wood and 20,5° 3 hybrid. I've been really happy with those clubs. Maybe 5 wood might have been easier to hit and almost as long as 3 wood. I have had some inconsistency with the 3 wood. The 3 hybrid, on the other hand, is absolutely my favorite club. I open with it all the time. I hit it around 180m vs. 200m of the 3 wood. I think the average shot with the 3 hybrid is longer, because of the large deviation with 3 wood. Thinking my choice again now, I would probably go with 3 and 4 hybrids. It took a long time to learn to hit with the 3H from fairway and my trajectory is still quite low. I think the 4H would have been significantly easier to learn with, at least to me. Then I would add driver, 3 wood or 5 wood later. Just my 0.02$.
  8. Hi fellow golfers! I've been following many forums of different subjects but didn't know any decent golf forum until this summer. In did some searching and it seemed that The Sand Trap is the place to be. I've been reading TST daily for about a month now and posting now for the first time. I started playing golf five years ago. My girlfriend and men in her family are golfers, so it was a natural move. First I walked on the course with them. After one season, I couldn't just watch it anymore. I started staying at the practice area hitting balls while they played. Started finally playing in June 2006. I broke 100 for the first time last summer. This summer my goal is to improve my iron shots and get under 93. I finishing my studies at the university this fall, so I probably don't have any vacation in next summer. I live in Northern Finland, so our season here is only about 4 months. This means of course that I have to golf as much as I can this summer. Thanks guys for letting me in. Golf is a great game! -Nipa
