  1. Thanks OP for starting this thread, as i'm also in the place of having spent a decent amount of time at the driving range and lessons with local pro, with minimal time on the course. i have been hesitant mostly for fear of slow play (and bad weather)... but it seems like slow play REALLY bugs people... but thanks to some of the tips written in this thread, i'm keen-as to go out more! can't wait
  2. glad to hear that the fairways feel similar to the driver. Was the Nike VR pro 5 wood good to hit off the deck? I'm in a similar position to replace my 3 and 5 wood and was looking at the nikes too (as i already have the vr tour driver and i like it)
  3. i'll look forward to reading what u think of it, might spur me on to buy them sooner :D
  4. sure, okay, will keep that in mind
  5. i'm in exactly the same position... flexible, graphite irons that are 15 years old (wilson Ultra TG) and now i've set my sights on the MP 53s! i realise that people say its harder to hit with, but honestly it didn't seem that much more difficult than my current set... i love the look of them and i'm prepared to get the training required to make the most out of them :D when you hit it well, there's a nice effortless almost gooey feel to it (i'm assuming its the forged factor) good idea to try them :D
