Sounds like it could be from an overuse injury in your Iliotibial Band. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iliotibial_band_syndrome Try flaring your left foot at address to relieve some of the tension in your swing. It makes sense to me that you're swinging harder now, hence the increased distance, so the added rotational force through impact into the finish is causing pain. Find someone in your area that does ART (www.activereleasetechnique.com) They will be able to treat it and keep it from coming back. Hope that helps *edited for better content

  4. Greetings everyone. Just joined this site. Found it while doing a Google search. Like all of you I love and live to golf. I'm married (4yrs) with no kids. Have a golden retriever and a tabby cat for the mean time. I love hot rods and woodworking and have been playing drums for 20+ years but am literally in love with golf. I play Titleist equipment for those who care. Not a staffer, but I love their stuff plus I'm going through TPI so it makes sense. I'm a Sports Chiropractor specializing in Golf fitness and injury prevention, soft tissue injury rehab, spinal and postural correction. Working towards Titleist Performance Institute Medical Pro L3.
