  1. I'm a highschool player, so the thing that really annoys me are the people that assume they know EVERYTHING and try to help you, I don't mind taking advice from my team, but there is definitely a fine line, especially in highschool. I have a lot to learn still, so do my teammates. and probably needless to say golf is unlike anything else, you can have a really awesome round, or even the best will have a really suckish round. Some of you guys can probably agree with me on the fact that golfers are ALWAYS learning. so If you're my teammate.. don't give me advice with the aura that you know everything... approach it like it's something that could help if I chose it to. please excuse me if you didn't follow that, I tend to write things that only make sense in my mind sometimes
  2. started out this season really well!! pinnacle girls won our first match last week, and won our first tourney this last weekend!! (I did not play our last tourney because of heat exhaustion) I shot 43 at our match, super proud of myself!!! I hope I can keep doing what I'm doing :) I could have done without my lost ball.. but oh well, It happens. I need a new putter, I'm thinking of going all out and getting a custom scotty.. anybody have any insights? thanks!! hope all your recent rounds were good ones! :)
  3. hi Alexandre!! from one golfer to another.
  4. I always have to take my glove off between every hole. I'm not sure why, just a habit I've developed as a little girl.
  5. I play in Cave Creek Arizona with a couple other highschool girls. and we get good spongey towels soaking wet and put them around our necks.. lots of water and ice!! usually we walk courses, but in the heat, we use carts walking just is not gonna happen. I like summer though, it's a great chance to get out to some gorgeous AZ courses without high rates. playing tourney's in the heat is the only not so fun thing.
  6. yesterday morning on the course, I hit my ball of the tee, and got to thinking what actually happens in the split second the club hits the ball. Does the ball actually roll up the club then leave (like with a wedge mostly) or does it just come off the club. just wondering, thought it would be fun to ask. -calicaddy
  7. I've been playing golf for about 8 years now.. I will be a junior in highschool, will definitely be playing there! however, today it was probably the fourth hole and I went to hit from the tee, and just when I followed through with my swing, I all of a sudden felt this searing pain straight through my hand and my wrist.. this has never happened to me before! has it happened to you? and what do you think it could have been? ( I was using a macgregor NVG2 lady's draw driver) been using this club for a whole season... so it's not like I had adjustment problems. anything helps! thanks! -calicaddy
  8. hi everybody!! I Hope everybody has been having a couple good rounds lately!! my name is Cali Ann, Not only do I golf for pinnacle high school (going into my junior year, this will be my 9th year of golfing total) but I also figure skate, going to world qualifiers in November for skating... very excited!! I have never calculated my handicap before surprisingly. my least favorite thing to do on the golf course is A. Look for golf balls in the shrub (too many cacti) and B. putting. I hope I can get to know a couple of you!! - calicaddy
