  2. Just had my second kid and getting rid of some stuff. If any one out there can give me a price they think my scotty cameron camo head cover will go for let me know. It's new still in the bag never taken out of the bag. I've seen a guy with one buy it now for $250 but I don't think he's doing very well with that. I'm being serious, so if you have a jackass answer please keep it to yourself.
  3. so what would you consider the most important club in your bag? I would consider it the one that you use the most. because no matter how far you hit the ball or if you hit the fairway or not, the only way to get the ball into the hole is with your putter. There is no doubt that people with a scotty cameron three and four putt. The putter doesn't make you a better putter but if it builds confidence then thats all that matters. Just as shoes don't make you jump higher or run faster. And if you have an odyssey then you prefer the feel of a softer putter. Some people do and some don't. And trying to justify the price of a scotty is no big deal to me since i bought it used from a friend. So I paid about the same as you did for you odyssey.
  4. The idea that scotty cameron's are over rated is crazy. Over priced maybe, but you'll spend $400 on a new driver every year or two and you only hit it 14 times a round. A putter is all about feel, if you like the feel of a putter with an insert then go with something else. I perfer a scotty because of the weight and feel. The milled stainless is a great feel with nice distance control for me. Other than that there is no overrated or underrated in the golf market. A lot of people by proV's why, they work they are good golf balls. The best... that is up to you and your swing. I like taylormade Penta but the main reason for that is because they are a good solid golf ball and I can get my own number on them. I think it's cool having my favorite number put on the ball for no additional price.
  5. Thats what i was thinking, thanks guys. I with you on the upright swing, I'm 6'4" with swing speed of about 112. I'm guessing i'm gonna try out an 8.5. If anyone has a suggestion on a different low spin shaft. I'm all ears
  6. Hey everyone, I'm wondering how to put my clubs on the site like most of you have already.
  7. Locomotive Engineer. I drive trains
  8. yeah thanks i don't need to know the physics of the golf shot. I would have paid alot more attention in school if i wanted to know all that stuff.
  9. I'm no fitting pro so i'm asking all of you. I hit a 9.5 taylormade TP burner. I hit this driver really high. I'm not complaining, i still get the ball out there a good way. about 275+ every drive. I want to get a new driver but I not sure what loft to get. I've been debating am 8.5 but i don't know how the degree loft effects the spin. I have a proforce V2 X flex in my driver now, Probably get the same in my new club. My question is does more loft add more spin, or less loft add more spin. My drive now is basically all carry thats not all bad but I would like to lower the angle of decent. I'm just asking... I know that only way to really know is to get on a launch monitor and I will just wanting to be educated when i go to get fitted
  10. You can't beat the RTJ trail. I love it, around forty dollars you can play a 8100 yard course like fighting joe. Can't beat it. If you are ever in the Memphis area please go and play MIRIMICHI. a course that Justin Timberlake rebuilt. A great course and a great value, around $60
  11. i think you can put his personal life aside. It's been his knee. Do you think Michael Jordan could have been the player he was if he wasn't able to spend the time in the gym. Tiger hasn't been able to practice the way he used to because of the knee and achilles. It's easy for all of us to sit back and say this or that. But when it's all said and done if he retired right now he would still be one of the top five players to ever play the game. I wish he would have stayed out this whole year so he could come back healthy, with all the swing changes squared away. Every time he changed his swing we all are amazed by the results. It is just going to take a little time to get everything going. Everyone wants things done yesterday, sometimes it just takes a minute.
  12. 160 for an 8 iron is really good distance. I don't see why you want a lower ball flight. I switched to taylormade tp muscleback irons with x100 shafts. that lowered my flight. I hit my 8 around 160 carry. The thing is... the harder you swing the higher the ball goes. If you play the ball back in your stance and swing as hard as you can your still gonna hit it high. To swing about 75% with the ball back in your stance most people would hit lower. If that doesn't do anything for your flight then your most likely releasing you hands early causing the balloon. It maybe the Indian... NOT the arrow
  13. No thanks i'm gonna hold on to the camo headcover and someday fold and us a gamer or sell it. Had about fifteen headcovers then decided to sell all but two of them.
  14. I've played the z star and the taylormade penta. I personally like the penta because of the feel around the course. The z star maybe longer and if your looking for length go with that. But in all reality if five yards or so matters then you have your answer. If feel around the green matters because that is where most of your shots come from then it's taylormade. You use your driver 14 times on a course and putt 30+ so which ever is more important to you.
  15. I was thinking the same thing, I guess i'll just wait a couple months and get it on ebay for a little cheaper than what they're going for now.
  16. I have a mint still new in the bag scotty cameron Camo Bull Dog headcover, but being a Locomotive engineer I'm really wanting the 2011 PGA headcover. Am i crazy to think of trading the camo for the new 2011 with the train on it
