    Simple Question:

Thats part of my problem. Henry was a disgraceful pickup. I am a true fan, and have a right to not root for my team if they sign a guy who got joy from electrocuting animals. I have been a fan forever but there is a line. If Vick killed someone in your family and your favorite team signed him would you still be a fan. Don't tell me about being a true fan and preach what you preach without saying yes, I would.

    Simple Question:

I guess everyone should have the right to employment but I only consider myself two options. I can either root against him on another team or stop watching my team if they draft him. The animal cruelty that he partook in is just too much for anyone in any organization I root for to think it would be a good idea to sign him. The things he did couldn't have been fixed by a year in jail and an additional couple months house arrest. He is almost 30 anyway, I guess we will soon find out if he can still even play.
  3. No question Moss is the best of the last decade. Everyone gets lost in Oaktown.

    Simple Question:

Mike Vick gets signed to your team. You still root for them? I am a lifelong Denver fan and if Mike Vick was to sign with Denver I am done with them.
  5. Acceptance of mediocrity, give me a break. His little act has gotten worse. People in this world have true problems, unlike Tiger dropping F-bombs on tv cause he missed a 30 foot putt. Get real. Take pride in being the most famous athlete in the world and set an example. His antics are duplicated across American golf courses as we speak where some kid right now has taken a club and hacked out a huge chunk of turf because his wedge ended up 15 feet left of the pin.
  6. Its a shame he doesn't have more consideration for the little kids that try to mimic his exact every breath. With that said, you can see he wants it and has become frustrated lately. The great thing about Watson yesterday is when he messed up he just kept going. He didn't kill himself, on the outside at least. Tiger lives under pressure no other golfer will ever understand. I am sure it becomes overwhelming even for him.
  7. This is rather simple actually. The majority of guys I see on the golf course are quite unimpressive athletically. I actually would assume many of the better golfers on this forum are probably the same. They may be good golfers technique wise, but they probably average 225-245 off the tee and rely on their short game. I was a very solid baseball player growing up who could hit a baseball quite far. Translating that power to golf was very natural for me. Sometimes I would even go as far as to say a lack of technique in a golf swing could create greater distance when the ball is hit flush. When it is not, which is most of the time for these people, the result is pretty bad. Guys who tend to hit fairway after fairway usually sacrifice a little distance however increasing their scoring ability.
  8. Talk about a topic thats been beat to death... Lets talk about the thread starters handicap.
  9. Recently I have received a number of negative reputation points that I feel are unwarranted. My problem is I don't know who sent them. When you leave reputation for someone, be it positive or negative, it would be nice to be able to see who left it. I am a member of another message board where the name is automatically left if you rep someone or they rep you. I am not looking for a fight just would rather explain my remarks to the person who had a problem with them. So to the mods, is there a reason your name does not come up automatically?
  10. Puss aka whiner. No dropping f-bombs on tv is being an ass. Your book must be written in hieroglyphics.
  11. I have seen Couples act like a complete puss. He moans after every bad shot, and am surprised he has such a following. I saw him hit a bad shot one time and he dropped numerous f-bombs. I think he is fake Phil Mickelson senior.

  13. I have about the same cap as you and I play black cg1 cleveland blades steel shaft. The last set I played prior was the Tommy Armour 845 silver scot. I have no problem hitting the blades as my iron play is much better then an average 15 handicap. It has been my strong suit since I started golf. If you are confident with an iron in your hands then blades won't be a problem. I can move the ball around very simply. My father plays cavity backs and I have a hard time trying to hit those which is the funny thing.
  14. I would like to offer a sincere apology for helping to steer this thread off topic. I am sure people were enjoying it and it did get a little out of hand. I was however attacked by a guy with the moniker Jay B who thinks he decides all that is wrong and right with the sand trap and resorts to name calling when a poster has a different view then him. I would also like to apologize to Jay B. Jay if I knew you had an anger management issue I would have never disagreed with you. For that I am sorry.
  15. Pot calling the Kettle black Look back at some of your posts Jay B I see no brilliant insight
  16. Well Ernie said, and I don't believe I am misquoting, winning in America is all he had wanted when he won the Honda. Last year for example he played more events on U.S. soil then anywhere. This year he has stayed in the U.S. to get ready for the Masters. I don't claim Els as a PGA tour player solely, he is a world player that in my opinion neither can claim. The same case can be made for Luke Donald and Aaron Baddely. They live in the U.S. and play a lot of PGA events but they are not American golfers. Just like Els, Goosen, Baddely, or half the guys you claim.
  17. Europeans have to be multilingual so they can keep up with the big boys on the PGA tour. By the way how do you claim Ernie? Because he lives in England. He plays about 15 events in the U.S. every year and is from South Africa.
  18. Thats funny cause those guys are on my tv everytime I turn on a PGA event. In fact after Romero won last week he said he would be playing in the U.S. all the time now. If you took a guy even like Furyk he would be the Tiger of the European tour.
  19. Ruari: I actually watch many Euro events if not all mostly the final two days. So by your estimation, I may already be enlightened. What I do know is Europe has some solid players, but the reason they fail to perform in the U.S. is because of the additional pressure because they know what tour is the real tour. The fields are average. I always hate to bring up players from Europe but the some that you guys always hang your hats on are Sergio and Justin Rose. Neither has had real success in America and both continue to try to be a big part of the PGA tour. Basically of all the players you have in Europe, I would take Hunter Mahan and he is far from the top American golfer, over all your top players . Casey, Rose, Garcia, Donald, Harrington, and anyone else you want to throw in.
  20. Then stop watching PGA golf. Stick to the european stuff. It always helps put me to sleep at night.
  21. No your reading comprehension is making you sound clueless. My post was stating if Ernie or Vijay hit that shot, two of my favorite golfers, I would probably have the same blind loyalty you have for Monte. Oh and if that was not a choke please define choke for me.
  22. Basically the point of this thread is you can't get in the Masters on reputation and even if you could Monte wouldn't be invited.
  23. Guess thats how you see it being a fanboy. I see it as choking. I am looking at it without caring about Monte. You obviously think highly of him.
  24. You are right. I don't understand the pressure, you don't understand the pressure, and apparently he didn't either.
  25. Anyone who thinks Monty has a chance at any major should look back at the blow up at Winged Foot. Guy is beyond done. Have a good career in Europe. Hope I don't have to watch you anymore.
