  2. Small engine mechanic - soon to be a location manager.
  3. For me just starting out consistency would be the most important. If i had a consistent swing and was able to shoot well I would be able to improve on that.
  4. Im sure its not any where near the same. I have been on a course once, and be came instantly addicted. Pine Burr just happened to be the course I played, and as I was walking out I noticed the sign in the club house. I am probably going to price something out at Keith Hills, and through Dec-Feb do a little more research on more courses.
  5. not sure which way i want to go yet. I saw a upro on craigslist for $100, but downside is that it is approximately 2 years old. It doesn't give a model or anything in the listing. However this might be a decent deal considering it is not the new model that was just recalled.
  6. I have read a lot of great reviews about Keith Hills. I think that I am going to look more into this one. Pine Burr is a great deal, but does not have a driving range, and its pretty flat with minimal obstacles.
  7. guess it would help if i didn't use my iphone to look at the forum. thanks for the link!!
  8. I have been looking for a gps and haven't seen too much about these on the forum. Are they comparable to other GPS units?
  9. Looking for a golf membership in the Raleigh area that isn't crazy expensive. I know that there is Pine Burr in Lillington that is $450 a year. Is there anything else out there that might be a little better course for close to or a little more? I really like this course but there isn't any sand and I am sure if I play there all the time I will get bored with it. It doesn't matter if it is a public course of not. thanks, Gregg
  10. I am a beginner golfer and I am trying to get a good smooth swing. So far I have noticed that I rush my swing and that I bring my right elbow in on the down swing. I tried to download the video of my swing from my golf lesson but was unable to. As of right now i can hit 6-pw pretty well, but when I get into the longer irons and woods i am terrible with the occasional good hit. Any suggestions or videos to getting a good smooth swing with good results would be appreciated. I know that I should take more lessons but right now funds are limited. Thanks, Gregg p.s. I will try to get a video of my swing from the side and rear angle and post it soon.
  11. New to golf and to the forum. I just recently picked up the golf bug and have enjoyed every second of it. I have been on a course once and shot a 116. I guess it is ok for my first time and since I have been to the range maybe 3 times. I am located in Fuquay-Varina, NC which is south of Raleigh. Anyone knowing of some courses to play around here thats not crazy expensive would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gregg
