BTW, I currently have Cobra Bio Cell irons in my bag along with a Cleveland 60 degree wedge but don't have pictures yet. -
Your height and your putter length
bassplayer7770 replied to hypergolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I am 5'11" and use a 33" putter. Lie angle is 70 degrees. -
These Grand Hawk irons are from Diamond Tour Golf and are much like Callaway models from a few years ago. Irons are standard length, but lie adjustments are 2 degree upright. Shafts are DT Lite (a Diamond Tour shaft) in Stiff flex. Grips are standard DTG velvet. I had used some lead tape in the cavities to get swingweights up to about D2. I just don't need these sitting around not getting used any more. I am willing to consider reasonable offers, but please keep in mind that shipping will cost a bit, and my price includes shipping to the 48 contiguous states.

What Putter You Using....
bassplayer7770 replied to DoubleEagle's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
The MOI of the Bobby Grace is great, but the biggest negative for me is the lack of audible feedback. The insert is just so quiet. I may need to compare the Method Core to my Heavy Putter soon. -
What Putter You Using....

Right now, I'm between a Nike Method Core Weighted MC02W and Bobby Grace AMG Triumph. Need to play more consistently again to figure out which works best for me. -

Should I buy a Three wood?
bassplayer7770 replied to islandersfan1's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I used to hate fairway woods until I got my Maltby KE4 ST-F with XCalibur shaft. This FW just works for me. Some days, I can't seem to hit it (my fault), but other days I absolutely kill it. In a recent round, I was very inconsistent with Driver, so I started using my 3-Wood, and that was a good day with the 3W. I don't normally use my FW for second shots unless I feel like the hole is very open just in case I don't hit it perfectly. Regardless, this is easily the most comfortable I've felt with any fairway wood. If you can find a fairway wood that makes you feel like that, then go for it I'd say. -
I've ordered from Gigagolf in the past. Overall, the product quality seems fine. However, I came to the realization they did not build the irons to the specs I had ordered. They basically sent me a standard set when I had ordered less than standard length and 2 degree upright lie adjustment. They took the clubs back and did the work, so their customer service is fine. In short, my only suggestion is to make sure they actually built the clubs to your specs. Another company I would suggest checking out is Diamond Tour Golf.

Maltby Tricept BM3 10.5 Degree Driver
bassplayer7770 replied to bassplayer7770's topic in Marketplace
I will work on getting the pics posted directly in the thread. I also forgot to mention this is 44.5", but I added a heavier weight to get the swing weight around D2. -
I have a Maltby Tricept BM3 10.5 Degree Driver for sale. Been used for less than 10 rounds. I prefer a larger, less traditional looking head at address, and I couldn't quite get used to this driver. Comes with Aldila RIP Beta Stiff shaft and Lamkin (I think) 360 grip. Also includes Maltby headcover and three separate sole attachments depending on what sort of face angle you prefer (Neutral, 1 degree closed, or 2 degree closed). Price includes shipping.

I've used GolfWorks clubs for years now. Currently, I have a KE4 V Driver, ST-F 3 Wood, and KE4 SS1 irons in my bag. Always been good quality stuff.

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?
bassplayer7770 replied to JYB's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I guess Dunham's isn't just a golf store, but I bought a golf glove on sale and a container with a brush for cleaning my clubs on the course when they get too dirty. -
GolfWorks is always great. Most of my clubs are still from them.

I don't care for the large cigars because they take too long to smoke. I think I could enjoy a few Havana Ovals during a round, though.

I took a lesson at Golf Galaxy, and the instructor showed me my swing in slow motion video. Then he showed me Ernie Els's swing. Anyway, with some practice to work on what I learned, I felt the lesson was very helpful.

You guys probably won't like my shovels, but here is my current bag. -
I've counted 5 putters currently. Heavy Putter D1-M Maltby Max Moment Odyssey White Ice 2 Ball F7 (selling this one) Killer Bee mallet (don't recall model name) Distance Master (similar to current AS5 model) The Heavy and Max Moment are fighting to stay in my bag. I like the heavier weight heads (although the Heavy is the Mid Weight model) that promote a more stable stroke. I also prefer a steel face because I have a tendency to leave putts short, so it helps when the ball bounces off the face a bit more. I built the Killer Bee and DM putters. I'd like the Killer Bee more, but the insert isn't ideal for me. It might work better on really fast greens. The DM was the first putter I built, but I prefer the larger mallets.
