  1. Being a "new" golfer and still learning my game, I am often very hard on myself, and do let frustrated rants out when I make stupid mistakes. So that being said I am very accommodating on the golf course, because I know how it feels to make mistakes. But one thing that bothers me, is people that take too long. Too long looking for balls etc, just not playing ready golf. It takes me quite a few holes to get warmed up and in a groove, and after getting in the groove, starter let two ladies off on the back 9 and they took forever...........took about 1 1/2 to finish final four holes, and mentally was checked out of the game. Another bothersome issue is peoples integrity. A friend of mine who I consistently play with, rarely keep score because we both are just trying to get better. When we are joined by other friends and we will play for lunch at the turn, now playing for points, he is not counting the shanked shots off the tee, or claims he found his shot in some ridiculous brush. I'm not worried to much about a $3 hot-dog.
  2. A screw up usually comes with remorse, they are not showing any remorse and are following these forums and FB closely regarding it. Then their smug comments, not the lack of grace, but just poor poor business sense, lack of integrity. They could still make up for it, I would be happy with a donation for the cost I put up, even the difference of the cost would still be $22 to something better then their pockets. They have been much more reserved, and their outburst on FB about someone getting an R11 driver leads me to believe they have some decent items making there way out, but for some reason more people are going to be ticked about their brush tees then the few "gold" prizes that went out.
  3. Well, they really ticked me off, but like I said I did get the thesandtrap.com, which it is good! I plan on leaving this avatar until they apologize sincerely (not the smug, responses they gave on other sites etc.), or make that donation to the Jimmy Fund for the cost I paid atleast, if not more.
  4. If anyone would like my avatar, I am willing to sell it for $25 and I will throw in free shipping. Indeed it is worth $25, maybe even more. I don't have a warehouse with any in it, they are hand drawn. And if you don't like it, you are a dumbass, Thanks for the donation.
  5. Thanks to a certain deal a day website that screwed me and many others I stumbled on to thesandtrap.com. This was the best part of the deal from that site. Can someone help me make a forum signature? Looked in the FAQ, and still can't find it in "my profile"
  6. I assuming the winter is their time to shine with product lines being retired, and able to get some great liquidation deals from companies. But not everyone can play golf in the winter, thereFORE, will not buy any products, especially when you reputation is tarnished.
  7. And the whole part about the little guy, and customer service???? How about standing behind your product??? $25 grab, asked if it would be worth atleast that amount, its been quoted here and other places already "Indeed, and possibly more...." And that response on whatever site posted by SparklingMatt, he is right its not fun.....you screwed new customers, all that are somewhat internet savvy (that's how they found you), and going to let people know. Not sure they can fix it, I don't want new irons, I dont care I got "old." Just felt hoodwinked.
  8. WOW, the arrogance. It seems like SparklingMatt almost realizes that this sucked. But won't admit it.
  9. They have deleted comments from people as well, one in particular I remember maybe because he used an adult word (shitty), but they are sending out nude tee's not sure why that would bother them. They also removed him from their FB page, he friend me shortly after to confirm that they did in fact "delete" him.
  10. here's where they are telling me about the rules on FB http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shotly-Golf-Daily-Deals/106254749459912 the link is pretty tricky but on their FB page, the headline is "who's excited about the grab bag deals etc" with about 58 comments OH, and ever since my exchange with them on FB they have appeared to have gone Jack Bauer, or rogue with no more responses to anyone.
  11. Just felt abused for $30 bucks, I would had better luck with a scratch ticket. Or felt better donating to a charity...............I don't want my money back, I challenge shotly.com to donate $30 (my donation to them) to the Jimmy Fund.
  12. the best thing I got out of this shotly grab bag deal, I found out about thesandtrap.com. Nice to meet you all, don't hold back on shotly, cause seems like more got screwed then not!
  13. I see a lot of you guys have posted on their FB as did I. I got crap, not really old, just crap. Like most others, have done woot grabs, and other grabs where you get crap, but a ton of it, and that makes it funny or something cute etc. But the whole thing about being atleast $25, no where near it. Head down nudey tees (3 pack, not the 6 pack like that other lucky fella) and a three pack of brush tees. C'mon for $30 bucks???????/ Absolute crap. Like I have mention on FB they could of sent me a 1000 shotly dot com wooden cheap tees, and that would of been funny and all of my friends would of known about shotly dot com. Not so savy Shotly, shame on you. Check out their State of Shotly "...we are extremely COMMITTED to ensuring our customers our happy with what Shotly offers and will keep this focus. As someone once told me, your customers don’t need you, you need them. We will continue to move forward with Shotly under this motto, as without you we are nothing!" well shotly.com you just might be nothing. And I know everyone runs to post negative stuff when they are not happy, but this was down right a rip off. My deal would of been a much better grab for $5-$10. Wouldn't of had a problem with it.
