  1. Gentlemen, I occasionally observe in my follow-thru a somewhat bent left elbow (I can't even bring myself to use the nasty phrase). I know one way to address this is to have better extension at the finish (raise belt buckle) to give the arms room to stay straight. When I do raise that belt buckle, I notice that it tends to move my swing path outside-in. Is this generally the case with more extension or am I doing it incorrectly? Thank you for any thoughts. -Darryl
  2. I've been working with James from early spring thru summer, starting on Evolvr. He is very good at explaining the concepts in different ways and is patient, too. I recently shot a career best 34 in my after work golf league and I will give him a lion's share of the credit! Thank you, Mr. Hirshfield!
  3. Gentlemen, Thank you for your replies. My "friend" is actually me. My ball flight almost always starts right and then stays straight or fades. If I am stubborn, I am straight at the target and shoot 95. When in a more accepting mood, I will aim left and scrape together a decent score. But, I figure unless I learn to move it right-to-left, I won't really know how to tame the fade that turns into a wicked slice. James - you are a funny, funny guy. I don't have a daughter, but do have Paypal....and pints of beer. I appreciate your extensive list. I need to research a few of the terms. Is Palmar flex the way Arnold would show his biceps?? :-D Off to the range! Darryl
  4. Golf Experts: Let us pretend a "friend" of mine comes to you and says "Hey, I want to learn how to hit a draw. Oh, and by the way, here's a big bag of money if you can teach me." You watch the student hit a few balls, and he has a bit of a push/fade ball flight. In order of what would be most likely to get him to curve it the other way, what specific changes would you suggest? The more specific the better (e.g.: "hips pushed towards target at setup" vs "weight forward". Any takers? Thanks, Snowbound
  5. James: are you saying I'm the mystery questioner? Again, with the mind-reading! DC
  6. Thank you, Mike, and well done! My arms felt straighter just reading this! DC
  7. Men, I'm making what feels like good progress with my irons. My driver, however, is another story. I am pretty much always hitting a little push fade/slice. Below are some video. Any recommendations will be given a good faith effort! Thanks - DC
  8. Mike, Nice video, sir. Let's pretend I was going to practice turning my left shoulder down to the correct position. If I setup a gadget that held the end of a stick at the correct destination spot (or had someone hold it there), where exactly would that be? It appears the height would be about where the bottom button of a polo shirt would be. How about distance out from the chest? Thanks - Darryl
  9. Yeah, they are all making swings in warm weather and it's 24 degrees here in Michigan today!
  10. Foz, Thanks...I think I still have a Swingyde in my basement. Will dig it out. Also, I have a Tac-Tic elbow gadget I used to use on my left elbow to learn not to bend it. I'm gonna try it on the right elbow, let it "Tac" on the backswing and try to prevent it from "Tic-ing" before impact. This is how we handle winter in Michigan! -DC
  11. Erik(!) and Mike, Thank you, kindly. Christmas has arrived early...hurray, hurrah! Darryl
  12. Eric, Beautiful! A very sharp eye on your part. Did not see that, did not think about it, did not even dream about it. Per your request, here is a target view: Will start practicing with a bent right arm. Might even put it in a cast and leave it bent permanently! Thanks, man, and Happy Holidays. DC
  13. Fellow Golfers: I am trying to learn to retain my right wrist angle during my downswing. I seem incapable of learning how to do this. Does anyone have any radical drills or swing thoughts I can try? Thanking you in advance - DC
