  1. Get a 2x4.
  2. http://redgoat.smugmug.com/gallery/90714/2/3179343 Maybe the best swing ever. Please check the impact photo which is not a "still". Absurd.......hmmm.
  3. http://www.golftipsmag.com/content/p.../4factors.html Look at the shaft at impact where they discuss face.
  4. An average 5 iron has 8 degree's of forward lean at address...15 at impact by some of the better pro..effectively tuning it into a 3 iron. I never said anthing about loft.
  5. I play to a 9 and I also add loft, meaning.... I'm casting ! There is no way to add loft without casting. The clubhead HAS to be ahead of the hands in order to ADD loft. A pro has 8 degrees of lean at address....15 at impact.
  6. TGM: Say a person is hitting every shot high. What can be done to correct that? BH: No. 1, check your grip and make sure it's not too weak. You can strengthen your grip with tell strip to help the club go over and keep the loft on it, but in general people who hit the ball high release the club very early and don't transfer the weight. The biggest culprit is the lack of weight transfer, your weight staying back and you end up throwing the club from the top. When you practice, just get off your right side if you are right-handed. Just get the feeling that your right shoulder stays a little taller coming into the ball. That will keep the loft on the club. BH is Butch Harmon.

  10. Utility woods were developed for those of us who have a difficult time with long irons. Esp. those of us who do not a have tour type swing speeds that are required to get the most out of long irons. They have been around a lot longer that most think. From personal experience, I purchaced my first utility club,a 7 wood, in 1974. It carried about the same distance as a 3 iron but so much easier to hit. In my area , esp. during during mid-summer, our greens are like cement. So even if you could strike the long irons well, holding the greens with them were damn near impossible. My shots with the 7 wood would leave the club with 8 iron height and finish with 3 iron distance, landing soft on our baked greens. They are becoming more popular on the tour for basically the same reason, there easy to hit and they hold well. Vijay for example not only carries a 7 wood now, but a 9 wood also, they are just so damn easy to hit. The one thing when considering purchasing one, make sure it is a low profile type. I've seen some 7 woods that rival my old 3 wood in size, not what you want. Give them a try Mr. Slice, they make several with some nice offset features that just might have you hitting a soft draw with them.

  16. The year is 1923. In 1923, do you know who was: 1. President of the largest steel company? 2. President of the largest gas company? 3. President of the New York Stock Exchange? 4. Greatest wheat speculator? 5. President of the Bank International Settlement? 6. Great Bear of Wall Street? Now, these men should have been considered some of the world's most successful men. At least, they found the secret to making bundles of money. Almost 80 years later, the history book asks us, do we know what actually became of these men? ANSWERS: 1. The president of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died a pauper. 2. The president of the largest gas company, Edward Hopson, went insane. 3. The president of the NYSE, Richard Whitney, was released from prison to die at home. 4. The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cooger, died abroad, penniless. 5. The president of the Bank of International Settlement, shot himself. 6. The Great Bear of Wall Street, Cosabee Livermore, committed suicide. However, in that same year, 1923, the winner of the most important golf championship, Gene Sarazan, won both the US Open & PGA Championship. What became of him, you ask? Well, he played golf until he was 92, died in 1999 at the age of 95,& was financially secure at the time of his death. CONCLUSION : Stop worrying about business & other bull**** & start playing golf. Wheres my clubs !

  23. This is sad to say,but I really don't care which one wins. I thought when they started this series they would look for some golfers who had the talent, but not the means,,i.e...money.Every guy I've seen so far has plenty of cash to go after his big break.I'm lookin for the guy who has the talent but can't afford to pick-up and move to Florida and play mini tours all year. Everyone here has one of those guys in his area....all the talent, just not the means.

  25. I saw somebody posting about having or trading away Kris Benson. Before you say anything about Kris, just check out his WIFE. When he was here at Pittsburgh, the best part about going to the game was hoping she'd be hanging out somewhere. She was recently on the Howard Stearn show lookin fine. She has a calendar out,i think you can see it at her website,annbenson.com, i think is the name or just do a google search. In short, keep Benson for the scenery he brings to your club ! http://www.annabenson.net/home.html
