I recently had the opportunity to attend a Trackman seminar, with the co-founder and CTO of Trackman. Trackmans dopplerradar follows the ball, all the way to ball hits the ground. Accuracy is very good. How accurate are the camera based launch monitors ?. As far as i understand, they take 2 pictures in rapid succesion, just after impact. Based on spin and angle the balls flightpath is calculated. So basically they are geustimating ?. Has anobody ever directly compared Trackman to a launch monitor ?.
