  1. Jenn-Air, best grill I have ever owned. Not super expensive but not cheap either. All the other grills I have ever had ended up in the garbage, I doubt this one will anytime soon. I have had it for about 4 years now, that's when the others are falling apart. Bob
  2. Callaway warbird hot. I like the separate wood and putter dividers, insulated beverage slot and it's very stable when on the stand.
  3. I agree that it looks more like a 5 wood, larger, then the typical hybrid.
  4. To my surprise had the new 08 FTi squareway, FT fairway and FT hybrid at the demo days I attended today, along with the new iron (didn't hit those). Of the 3 new FT's, square, hybrid and fairway, the FT fairway was the top performer. Unfortunately the stiffest shaft on the demo squareways was a regular which had too much flex for me. Besides the look of a square wood I didn't like the feel at impact, which felt heavy and dull (not the pop off the face I expected), the distance I was getting was far below my expectations as well. The FT hybrid was nice, I don't think it is any better then the X I'm using now. A little different feel the the X but the results were similar. The Ft fairway was the only one of the three that "I" am considering to buy. My current 3 wood is probably 10 years old, but I'm very consistent with it and not sure if I want to give it up, this one just might put it out of the bag. The FT fairway has the same sweet feel on impact of the FT-5 but without the high pitch "tink" the driver makes. Nice big sweet spot too. Even with a 20-25 mph into the wind shot I was getting better 3 wood distance then I am use to. I will give this a try again (without the wind) when it comes out next month.
  5. Bushnell has a smaller V2 tour pinseeker that is due out later this month. I have a 1500 tourament edition on the way. I have been using my friends when we play together and have found no faults, it does take a steady hand though. http://www.golfsmith.com/products/294272
  6. Yes it helps, thanks. Bob
  7. I'm just getting back into golf after a very long layoff and am trying to re-establish a legitimate handicap. My club I joined uses Public Links Golf Association for posting scores. Can someone explain the difference between the "trend index" and avg. "differential score", which I "assume" is my handicap. There is a almost 5 point difference between the two. Thanks in advance, Bob
  8. Yahoo has a free tracker that you decide what to track. I just started using so no opinion on how well it works. http://golf.sports.yahoo.com/tracker
  9. Ping I-10's, X-Forged was a close 2nd. Thanks for the info. RD in Long Beach was going to be my choice for the outdoor. The teacher I use teaches at the Learning Center where RD is located. Bob
  10. After hitting every iron that appealed to me I'm ready to get fitted. I have the choice between outdoor on a range or indoor with the hi-tech equipment. Pros and cons? Thanks in advance.
  11. Demo day done. I hit both the MP-57 with true temper S300 & R300 and the Mp-60 with same two shafts as well. The MP-57 was very forgiving with a large sweet spot. I moved the ball all around the club face to see how it would react. Shots way outside of center still kept most of the distance and it had good but not great feedback. Thin shots were easy on the hands, no bad shock waves up the shaft. I preferred the MP-60 over the MP-57. Not a big difference in the forgiveness between the two. For me the 60 had a nicer feel when you hit it right. My results were the best with this club with the R-Flex shaft and best with the Stiff shaft on the 57. The Mizuno rep/fitter says it was because of the offset difference. I was pushing the stiff shaft on the 60 slightly to the right and it would come around when I switched to the regular. I swapped back and forth between clubs for about 45 minutes, that was after a warming up with a large bucket. Needless to say I was a little tired by the end. Sometime next week i'll go back a put some others up against the MP-60 to see which one will be in the bag for Christmas. Bob
  12. New irons.....or maybe new wheels for my road bike. Bob
  13. I have not tried them yet. I have an appointment this Saturday for Mizuno demo days and a fitting with a Mizuno rep. here in Long Beach. Really looking forward to it. I have read a lot of good things about these and the MP-60's. There are a good amount of reviews out there on this model. Bob
